These are *just* started. Yes, dark feet, except a couple, who are getting socks, then they will have shell colored hooves

Ok, here goes. Hubby must have sensed that the pile of uni’s was here for a reason and that that reason was to be PAINTED. haha. Anyway, I had 2 requests for buckskin, and since that is one of my WORST colors(I generally turn them green) I painted a couple spares, and when the buckskins turned out ok, the spares turned bay, so here’s what i got. I think this uni looks awsome in all colors. wow. She’s so cool.

Left To Right- #1 medium buckskin for Spark
#2 Light buckskin for Little Iron Horse
#3 Bay for ddum. Since I didn’t know if you wanted light or dark, I did one of each. LMK what you like.

#1 Palomino-will have socks and white trim.
#2 buckskin. might be sold
Ki Rin-stripped. Plan to add gold trime. I think he has red eyes. Will trade for 1 uni plus $25
Griffin-metallic rainbow wings, will have black bum. I have no idea what color his eyes are. Will trade for a uni and $25

Obviously, these aren’t finished yet. I will post FINISHED pix of each, once I know that the new owners approve of the body colors. All have brown eyes. More to come!! Thanks so much guys for the chance to paint these. They are without a doubt my favorite Windstone PYO’s.

I actually ended up removing them all. I thought about it, and if they came loose shipping to me, they might come loose shipping to the next person, and scratch the paint. So, they are all removed, and will be wrapped in bubble wrap. I asked everyone, and they were all cool with it. See other thread for pix!!

Got my first shipment of uni’s today. First off, ADORABLE. once these get painted, I just might offer to paint one for one again. SO CUTE.

however, out of the 8 I got today, 3 had the horns broken off(the horn isn’t BROKEN it’s unattached). Two have loose horns.

My question. Anyone else have this problem? Also, for all you folks shipping them here, anyone mind if, for the pix, I sticky wax the horn into place, but then ship it seperate, wrapped in bubble wrap? That way, it won’t get damaged, and you can just glue it on yourself when she gets home.

Think I might resculpt one sometime to be a horse…she’s precious. Thanks guys for giving me the opportunity to paint some!!!

I’d start with an Iwata Eclipe if you are serious. They cost about $85 and are super duper easy to keep clean. they break down well, unlike many others. I haven’t tried any other brands, except a Passhe, which I kinda thought was junk…

regulator’s are a must. That way you don’t blow so much air through your airbrush that the paint just flys everwhere. Many compressor’s come with them. Also get a moisure trap. that will keep the water out of your lines. You must empty it(usually pusha button) when you’re done.

If the noise doesn’t bother you, I think the Lowe/Home Depot kinda places have decent compressors for $100 ish. But they are loud. For a nice silent one(a dream, really) they are aroudn $200. I paid $250 for mine. Check eBay.

Iwata is a fantastic brand. I applied to carry them in my shop because they are excellent quality brushes. that’s all I use. I’m not trying to sound like a sales person. I just love my Iwata’s.

I was thinking that too, but not enough to stop me from wanting one haha. I’m interested to see her conformation and structure overall, although lying horses are a booger to judge all that. Sometimes they look disproportunat because they are all tucked and just lying there 😉

one more thing. I wasn’t expecting more than 1-2 responces from this, and I got over 10. 😯 😀 I’m flattered, and excited. The one thing that I’m wondering, would anyone be opposed to paying shipping to ship their painted uni home? If they cost $7 each priority double boxed and tracked, that’s about $70, I’m not complaining at all, and if I can sell enough other stuff to cover the shipping then this will be a moot issue. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
