Happy Birthday!
I’m so sorry, hon. Reading about people losing family is enough to make me cry. Innocent lives are the hardest to let go of. I believe wholeheartedly that we’ll all see each other again in heaven someday, and I’m sure Saber will be waiting for you. Until then, treasure the memories. He wouldn’t want you to be sad.
I guess I’m in the minority here, but I actually think they’re pretty cool… *blocks incoming waves of rotten vegetable projectiles*
I’m for anything that hunts the other little nasties in the house. And not to tell anybody how they feel, but if you’ve had a roach infestation you know you’d rather have centipedes. Roaches are DISGUSTING! They are EVERYWHERE! And they are extremely hard to get rid of! They eat your food, they crawl over every surface, leaving poop and eggs wherever they go, and they multiply like mad. I’d be quite happy to see a centipede ripping those little terrors to shreds if it were me.
Oh my goodness, quoted for truth. I’d rather have nearly any ‘pest’ than a roach infestation. I had roaches — german roaches– the whole time I was in Texas. They used to make me cry, because I always felt so defeated by them. Even though we were clean, our neighbors were not and nothing we did got rid of them. They lived in our microwave, our phone, our TV, every part of my fish tank except the water of course… everywhere. So terrible.
I think house centipedes are pretty cool, too, by the way.
That is the exact experience my mom had while living in Texas, Jen! Roaches must love it there. They eventually ended up roach bombing the whole building she was in, but she moved out. It was awful between the bugs and the poison everywhere. And she’d fill up countless roach motels, but still there would be more. They’re a plague, honestly.
Lol, Pam, I was going to post a picture asking the same thing but I thought I’d get yelled at XD

Happy birthday, girl! Make it a great one!
Send Susie a message and she’ll probably be able to send you a replacement 🙂
More of these!!!!
Eek! Get her spayed and vaccinated if you are still letting her outside! When you breed or buy, shelter puppies (or kitties) die! Or better yet, keep her inside where she is safe!
^This. Spay ASAP
Same 🙂
That poison arrow frog (yellow body, blue legs) was fabulous 🙂
I don’t think it’s going to be any different than any other day, honestly. How many other doomsday predictions have we lived through? There’s nothing to them.
And look at it this way, let’s say for arguments sake that it is going to be the “end of the world”. There’s nothing you, or any other mom/person, can do about it, so you might as well just enjoy your last few months and really let your kids know that you love them.
Conversely, if we decide to believe that things will get better afterwards, then just think of it as something to look forward to (though I wouldn’t get my hopes up).
I’m really sorry about your Papa, Jinya 🙁
My Grandpa just passed away on July 21st (four days before my 21st birthday) and we had the viewing on my birthday, so the death is still pretty fresh for me too.
I miss him all the time, as I’m sure you’ll miss yours too. What helps me is to remember that this isn’t really goodbye; it’s just ‘until later’. Someday we’ll all be together again in heaven, so I’m just trying to remember the good times until the day we meet again.
I’m sure your Papa is up there waiting for you too. He and my Grandpa are probably playing golf together 😉
I had never heard anything about baby poads. Is there any truth to this lore? :0
Happy birthday!!
Welcome to the speaking part of the site 🙂
