I do really love her π Her red eyes just mesmerize me ! And she is amazing in detail, the pics definitely did not do her justice… her ebay pics did not interest me at all, but in person she looks so different.
I did contact the seller, and they were grateful that I was understanding in the matter. They liked the idea I was willing to keep the one I received in error, and they apologized for the mix up. I may look at their other dragons now and see if they have any others that maybe they can give me a deal on π
You got one with amethyst antique and individualy hand-painted gold scales. Those are my favorite. Not many were made like that, maybe only one or two batches.
Ooooo…. good to know ! Thanks for this information !
And kelseyslk, thats a good idea, lol ! If I had thought of this before I had messaged the seller, I would have tried doing this to see what happened, lmao! π
I like your attitude. You may not have gotten what you wanted but you scored a really nice Patina. I haven’t seen such a nice-looking Mother in eBay in quite some time. I hope you really enjoy her!
Thanks π She is mint ! You know I wouldnt mind buying Windstones blind-folded, and not knowing what one gets until you open the box would be fun! (As long as its mint and not one you own already ;)) Kinda like Grab Bag buys… you dont know what you get until you open it! Surprises like that are always fun π
Thats an idea, but I do like this one as well. I figure she was meant to be mine π I have already grown attached to her, and so has my Green Male, lol ! I figure I will get the Black-Gold someday… my collection is just begining π
Ok, thanks everyone ! I do like the look of this Sculpt, and knowing she is rarer makes me want to keep her. I do plan on contacting the seller, right after this post actually. Im going to let them know their error, and see how they want to proceed. I am still disappointed though that I did not get the black-gold female, who I liked a lot more than this one… and I was even trying to buy a BG Male from someone I know who was selling one, to go with her. *sigh*
Here are a few pics of my new CP Mother π
Seen this on Windstones ebay (not sure if Im allowed to post this in this thread, or if someone in particular is designated to do so? )
Anywho, seen this and love it :

WINDSTONE EDITIONS “DIABLO #1” BABY KIRIN FIGURINE, FANTASY KI RIN STATUE
So sorry for your loss Kim. Just know you gave her a good home with lots of love, and that you did try your best to make her as happy as can be. *hugs*
So very sorry for your losses…. it is so hard losing a furry family member. *hugs*
Id consider myself a Snow or Ice dragon, since I love the snow ! The beauty of the cold snow, ice crystals glittering all over its surface, trees with branches hanging heavy with snow, huge flakes drifting down from the clouds above. I would be a warm white-blue color, with intense dark blue eyes, and a tribal pattern in blue and black would adorn my hide along the flanks, with more trailing down the tail- ending in blackness. Likely a Old Warrior or lap dragon, an older intelligent dragon. (Hrrmmm I may have an idea for a PYO dragon again, lol… gotta add this to my list of ideas, lol ! )

August 14, 2014 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Amstaffs PYO Thread– "Fire and Ice" Kitsunes, finished pair #917496Thanks Ela_Hara, I had seen them there, but was unsure on them as I would have to mix my own colors, and I dont think Im ready for that just yet. Someday maybe π I also seen a really nice set of Fluid Golden Acrylics at DeSerres (had more colors than the set I had seen at Michaels)…..that may be on my Christmas Wish list, lol π
LOL! That’s one of the reasons I haven’t tried them yet, I need to think harder about a color scheme to do since I’d have to mix my colors. I may use them for the Fancy Ki-Rin PYO I got, and I’m thinking about a Koi style design in non-traditional colors you wouldn’t probably see on the fish. But he’s in line behind my Dragon, Muse, Keeper, and Kitty Griffin PYO’s, so I don’t know when I’ll get to him. My problem: too many ideas/PYO’s; not enough leisure time to paint! They’ll get done…eventually. π
LOL! I feel exactly the same way ! I only have the muse, a normal ki-rin and a keeper dragon… but I have so many ideas for color schemes that I want to order more PYO’s already! π Its so addictive ! I love it ! !

August 13, 2014 at 6:05 pm in reply to: Amstaffs PYO Thread– "Fire and Ice" Kitsunes, finished pair #917462Thank you for the tips π I hope to someday have a set of fluid acrylics to work with, and may just buy myself one now and then to add to my supplies. For now I will work with the paint I have in tubes, and will thin it down somewhat.
I have added another coat of each color on the muse a few days ago, with paint that I hardly thinned at all, and it really wasnt that big a difference in the way it acted as I painted it on, just a little darker color. I will continue to experiment and learn what works best for me. Im just glad to know that using many thin layers is normal, and that Im still heading in the right direction.
π
Congratulations, and Happy Birthday ! π
