Hey guys and thanks for the support! It’s been a long weekend, and Sunday only just started! Friday I was barraged with calls after I got back from the doctor’s office to take the blood test they wouldn’t give me. There was a lot of arguments unfortunately, and some nastiness on the part of the blood taking lab and the office nurse. Long story short somebody did get in touch with my doctor and he called me to arrange an appointment with the blood spceicalist for a Thursday appointment. He told me to go back on the blood thinners in the meantime…unfortunatly this ruins all the blood results I could have gotten for being off the thinners as instructed before, so this whole ordeal may need repeating again in 6 more months.
However, I don’t have the pain and my head feels better…it felt so “pressurized” somehow. At least I feel a little safer. I was about ready to go to the hospital to get the blood test but then reconsidered…what with the new bills that would insue and then speaking with my doctor. I may eventually ask to be sent there for a new CT scan to see what’s in the lungs and if the clots are completely gone in the future (since they may have rebuilt a little bit after this fiasco).
I have been painting away on the sculpts yesterday so I’ll only be a little late with them but they’ll be done over the coming week.
I got one in mint condition I’m looking to get rid of. I don’t know the worth, honestly. I had paid about $60 for it. I wouldn’t mind trading for another…that or 2 unpainted PYOs, or maybe I’ll just sell it on ebay?
I think I will be ok, it’s just not knowing…you know? I haven’t had a CT scan or chest X-Rays since the clotting took place so I don’t really know for sure what the situation is with the clots even though I had been on blood thinners. I have been off the thinners for 2 weeks longer than usual (long run-around doctor story) so it’s kinda concerning me right now, and since I can’t get answers or bloody simple tests done with my doctors, I’ll just have to go to a hospital. It’s completely bogus but I refuse to let any doctor or anything dictate my life to me. I have my life in my own hands, so I’m gonna do what I have to.

I just wanted to jump on here and say I did tell a couple people that their commissions/trades would be completed over the weekend. This may not happen because I think I may be going to the ER tonight in order to get testing done due to some minor chest pains I’ve been having. Alhough minor, they may signal that my blood clotting has returned and I have been trying to get blood tests with my regular doctor but have faced nothing but problems with them. I went today to get the tests and try to clear this up and even try to pay outside of insurance for a simple little test but they can’t draw without doctor approval, and they need to find the doctor etc. etc. long angry story about that. Don’t know why they cannot page him for even simple approval or why the doctor slip I have isn’t proof enough he wants me tested…
but the only sure-fire way I know of to get testing done pronto is unfortunately to go to the hospital, which I may need to do tonight or tomorrow. In which case, this weekend is null for me painting pretty much, so all current people I spoke to about commissions being due over this weekend may have to wait until within the week. Sorry guys!
Arlla, I love the tancho sanke koi…the black and white with red spotted head…it’s also the koi I will be making for my tattoo…but I do love all kois and your work…whatever you make i’ll adore.
Also, Everyone else, I know I’ll love whatever you make for me and I’ll do my best to make one you’ll love.
I love them and know exactly what you’re talking about with the black point wolf. Also, do you prefer using oxide or fine interferance paints? I love the last wolf most of all. That should become a production color or something on a new wolf.
I think I’m going to hold off until I can get a blood test either tonight or tomorrow. I feel a little better right now but dealing with the doctors hasn’t been helpful and they send me in circles. I guess I gotta do this my own way if I want any results. If the paint comes back or gets worse I won’t have a chcie but to go to the ER, but I don’t think that will happen…the pain seems more like a hint or warning than anything and perhaps I’m over-reacting from my prior blood clot experience. But I’ll watch it and keep you all posted.

Oh awesome! I got a FrozenDragon! I was dying to have one. I’ll let him post pics though because he can get to it sooner I think. Right now I’m having some chest pain issues and might need to go to the hospital for tests…don’t know yet and am waiting for my hubby to come home. I don’t know what will happen, but if I don’t go I will take photos tonight for posting unless Frozen does.
I want to be doing the Ki-Rins over time…those on the list that haven’t told me their color choices and sculpts should let me know, because I’ll be working on those ones first down the line, tentatively. Just an update here!
I just got a ki-rin from the artist who got my name…but I am not sure who you are! I read “Thomas” on the bottom…I am so bad with signatures! It is a brown-haired Ki-Rin with white scales and gold highlight antique throughout the mane. It is amazingly lovely and just makes me want to hurry up and get started on all of the Ki-Rin trades I want to get going on with folks. Amazing work! Do you want me to take photos or will you? And what is your forum name? I apologise to people who buy from me as well…I don’t write Watergazer on my pads, my artist name is Vanessa Knight.
Personally, I think if you did a snow-leopard butt and say, a white tiger butt to counter a snowy owl…those are two distinct pieces because you’ve completely changed the species. But if you painted two snowy owl/snow leopard griffins…unless you changed some colorations I wouldn’t think then that they could be termed OOAK since they are the same species used. But I don’t know; I just think not saying OOAK unless you’re completely sure you will never use those same colors again just that way on that same body of sculpture again should cover you. *shrugs*
