Well, my Cat Wizard is here! Catnap packed him following the Packing Tutorial to a T! He is a bit dusty and has a couple of flea bites, but I would still consider him mint. I never realized until now that some of the Windstone figures were hollow. (But he still weighs a ton!) I know Melody had talked about making the SK hollow, but I didn’t know it was done with current/past production pieces.

As for your concern stated in your auction, people pay money for common windstones because they are hand painted. Colored items get more than non-colored because they are pleasing to the eye and they come in sets that people try to complete.

I am really, really, looking forward to this PYO (or production piece – whichever the case may end up being).

Here is a pic with the two tail styles. I like longer tails, but which ever one is practical and looks the best.

I don’t know what sex it should be. I’d vote for a female, but would be happy either way.

This is probably not very feasible, but it would be nice to have a gallery or area for links to pics for each user’s collection. That way if we are trying to find pics of Ski’s spectral (for example), we don’t have to try to remember what page of which “show your collection” thread it was. Just a thought.

Yes, I think a archyopterix tail or long bird of prey tail would be good. I always think of the phoenix as a swan-like or peacock type of bird. But knowning how you need to sculpt due to the properties of the gypsum, I would think the stiffer, but flowing tail design would be fine.

She is very pretty, but I like the red gold color better. Did you get a look at those eyes?! I would love to see those on other dragons as well. This would be a great color to go along with collection of the old green dragons someone might have. Wonderful work!
