Your griffin is lovely. Congrats on the purchase. I am looking at the new auction on Ebay. Can’t decide whether to bid on it or the copper mother.

Congrats everyone on your Christmas gifts! Everything is so pretty. (mmloda I really envy you your Red Fire emp.)

Husband got me a peacock mouse wizard and a Red fire hatcher. Hard for him to order anything online because paypal’s in my name and the stores around here don’t have a very good selection. Still I love the little mouse wizard. Now I have a whole wizard set!

A couple of people were asking. I ended up getting the Baby Kirin. 🙂

Did pay a bit more then I was hoping. Still I really wanted it. Loved the colors.

It just seems that me and my fiancee might have whooping cough. Stupid University. He should get the results back tomorrow…. *crosses fingers*

I had whooping cough last year. My doctor didn’t even test for it, didn’t notify the County Health Dept., didn’t do anything but give me cough syrup. I told our school nurse (I’m a teacher) and she was the one who notified everyone who needed to be notified.

But it was such a strange thing. I didn’t even know whooping cough existed anymore. I was like…Didn’t some of my characters on that old Oregon Trail game die of whooping cough? Should I rest for a day or increase rations?

I hope you don’t have it. Good luck!

Whooping Cough (along with a lot of other diseases) went into decline because we started using vaccines. Never was eradicated though. We are seeing more cases now because parents are afraid that the vaccines will give their kids autism. Kids get them and then pass them on to older people whose immunity has worn off over time. We are also seeing more measles and mumps.

If you get migraines regularly, you probably already know this. When I get them, I’ve found that a really cold (stick it in the freezer for a couple of minutes) washcloth over my eyes for 15-30 minutes really works wonders. Or a very cold shower.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Wow! Congrats on the raffle win. He really does look like a buckeye.

I also hate the smell. All dentist’s offices seem to smell the same. The scent just makes me twitch. I hope you feel better soon.

Plus mixes tend to have fewer medical problems. I have retriever mixes and they don’t have any of the skin or hip problems that breed is prone to. And you don’t have to housebreak them like a puppy!

You know what im tired of? People forwarding me crap w/o researching it first. The most recent was that I can get cancer if I re-use water bottles, or if I put them in the freezer and use them again. Good grief… could people please not be so gullible and not fill my inbox with stupid crap? It makes me ashamed that I am friends with people who believe stuff like that. The ‘get to know you’ ones are not as bad. At least its personalized and not a knee-jerk forward. Thats something.

I am with you there. Especially when it is so easy to research that stuff online. I have several people I have told that they are not allowed to send me something unless they check it on Snopes.com first. Does it really take so long to check and see if something is real before freaking out and sending it onto others?

Better then several of her last few Valdemar books. I liked it. I think she needed the break.
