I hate to say it, but if you’re tried explaining to her that these are important to you, (even if she finds them unimportant) and that you love them and don’t want them handled, there isn’t much else you can do. I have a few friends with ADD, and while they occasionally will lose threads of conversation, they don’t forget that they shouldn’t roughly handle something that is not theirs.

If she cannot respect your things, and stop handling them, you have to take the step and not invite her over. Meet her at her place, or outside somewhere — she obviously doesn’t care to make the effort to respect you or your things, and yet another talk or “nag” (and I don’t think of it as a nag– you PAID for these, and want to keep them nice!) will not matter to her.

If she notices that she is not coming over as often, and gets angry, you can give her excuse back at her– since her ADD keeps her from respecting your stuff, you are helping by not having your stuff around.

Since you are sold out of the white and brown old warriors in the store what are the next limited production old warriors going to be? Also what limited edition old warriors will be on ebay next since the ivep ow’s are gone?

The next lp Warriors will probably be old green, If I have enough paint. Or rainbow, if we haven’t made those yet.

what about the green paint for the curls you promised us??
I MUST have a curl in each color!!!!

    Well, sadly, if there is barely enough old green for one OW, I’m thinking curls are out of the question– how could you fairly offer them, unles you do them as a special auction? And I’m betting the old green OW might make a bit more than some old green curls, which is good only in that it gives Windstone more money for their move, no? :}

    Hi!

I joked about this with Susie earlier today, but if possible, how about a ruler in images of the items to give an idea of size? Admittedly, it won’t always help, especially if you are spacially stupid as I am, but it might help when you have a new sculpture where we might not know the size, so you can better plan where you might be putting it once you get it home. I know dimentions are often mentioned in the text, but having a physical flag of item size can help give perspective. 😀

Waaa, I went and looked, they are the cutest yet! 🙁

Oddly, though I’d looked forwards to them, I’m going to have to say the adorable spotty heindered brown chicks are my favorite, cuteness wise. 🙂

Now we need a pouncing griffy chick; heinder high in the air, head to the ground with the front paws, as if about to leap into a kitten pounce. 😀

I love this color, and the auction of the B&T family a while back seemed to show others who liked the coloration. 🙂

I figured that if a squeak for a pink dragon got a pink curlie, maybe a small squeak here for a B&T Fledgie might work. 🙂

I love Autumn Leaf but I’m a little skeptical about how it’ll look on the smaller dragons, or anyone but the OW for that matter. He just displays the color very well. I’ve noticed that the smaller the dragon, the more I enjoy simple color schemes (otherwise the colors look too crowded- i.e. I really liked violet flame on the Secret Keeper, but I don’t like it at all on the fledge).

But that depends on personal taste. I love my VF fledge. She’s sitting here right now!! 😉
I thought Fledgies where young Emperors and male??

I figure each dragon is whatever sex it says it is to it’s owner 😀

My VF flegie is a girl, but my Peacock fledgie is a boy. All depends what they ‘feel’ like when they first come out of their box. 🙂

I really liked her description and the pose i think would work well with the fledgie sculpt and would perhaps not be much of a pain to cast. Not so much a question as an idea to toss around. 😀 Perhaps this pose with the dragon sleeping, we don’t have a sleeping dragon yet…hmmmmm I should do that. I like it. I’ll do him with his eyes open though.

OO and the head tilted just a bit, as if eyeing something the way a cat will when in that pose 😀

The world doesn’t need the masculination of the feminine. What a waste. The world needs the celebration of th e healthy feminine…and the healthy Masculine.

I deeply question what “healthy” masculine and “healthy” feminine are. Either sex can do anything the other can… save in the actual act of gestating and birthing or producing semen to fertilize. Is a ‘healthy’ woman one who sews, cooks, raises children, and keeps a home… or is it a triathalon athlete who also is an engineer, will never care to have a child, and burns toast? Is a ‘healthy’ man a flamboyant gay man who designs incredible clothing, cooks up a storm and is raising three adopted children, or would a healthy man instead be a contruction engineer who hangs out after work at a favored bar with his friends watching sports?

I have found when people claim they understand all of one sex or another and seek to have others agree with them that they really don’t ‘get’ that we are all the same, save for certain aspects of biology. Wanting a single type of individual limits us all. 🙂 Some men look good in and wear pink shirts… some women look good in and wear workboots… that man can be deeply masculine and that woman can be feminine, both can be straight or gay, and both ARE their own archetypes.

I still think that pink is a marketing disaster to the general public, but in small batches for you weirdos… why not?? 😉

Curies did well for a few reasons:
-They’re affordable, so many people collect them (and want every one made)
    -They’re really cute
-They’re affordable. No really- it’s easier to drop $60 out of a paycheck every few weeks for a curlie, than say $200 for a larger sculpt when “the pink is so cute.. but… maybe not $200 cute” 😉

Must admit, this was why I got the one I did. I’m not wild about pink, but I was curious as to how it might look, and the budget could afford (with some creaking) the curlie. Any other sculpt? Prolly not– it’d really have to be a superspectacular or bizarre paintjob that grabbed me. 🙂

Well, I really like the Garden dragon. She is beautiful and she would most def not end up outside! I don’t see her as an Empress. She has got to be the Laps mate. When I think of Empress, I thing grand and over the top!

How do they mate when she is outdoor and he is indoor??

When the time is right… they meet on a patio for drinks and some dragon ‘personal time’. 🙂

😯 First? You do know what you’re getting yourself into here, right, travistie?
I’m surprised how pale the pink appears. I saw the test paint at the factory and it was quite a bit brighter.

Well, truth here, my pictures are hardly the finest in the land. ::grin:: But yes, she is that ice pink of a col;or; at least mine is.

I really love the color the more I look at it– but I’m wondering if silver accents might have been cooler on her rather than gold. She’d look arctic with ‘platinum’ points, horns and claws. 😀

in reply to: pink dragons #612300

Just got mine– very pretty, almost fading to white at the bottom of the curl and a really nice metallic pastel pink near the top and inside, by the orb. The jewel is champaign (spelled incorrectly, most prolly) and the eye looks to be the same color, even if it is pale green in reality.

She makes the sculpt look dainty, almost, which is amusing as I thought the other colors look like cute little thugs waiting for coffee. 🙂

One amusing thing? Her center orb picks up the color so nicely it looks tinted pink itself. 😀 Here are 2 images; sorry they’re kinda fuzzy.

It seems like a very time consuming real time chat room. It has steps to guide you through the alternate reality setting.

    BINGO!

It’s essentially a graphical chat room with millions of folks. It’s not really a game but a social program. I tried it once but was throughly put off by it.

Millions is right. Can you believe my university owns an island on that game, that only our students can go to? There are even entire courses offered here where the class meets online and the only time you ever see/talk to your Prof is in Second Life!

I had to drop out of a course because it was one of those kind and was not advertised as such when we signed up for it. I’m horrible with computers and don’t much like them, so there would just be too much margin for error if I were ever to attempt something like that. Plus, the idea just does not appeal to me at all 😆That sort of thing is what sparked my interest. It seems to be a fantasy setting for real world things.
There are six countries that have embassys there, the university courses, live concerts by real groups, there are real life lawyers that have offices and give virtual copyright advice, it seems like way more than a chat room.
I have no intention of “playing” but I am interested in the possible business side of it. It would be fun to open a virtual store or something there.
    Or a dragon farm.

Second Life is amusing at first, at least I found that it was. I actually was able to make a really nice elf, and while wandering, even found an animated shoulder dragon for that avatar. I’ve even an outfit that transforms my avatar into a fully animated celestial dragon – wings worked, I could fly, I had a ‘breath weapon’ etc…

The only problem is that once I was done with the ‘shopping’ for my avatar, it got dull. I have Trillian for chatting with friends, and despite the pretty and neat options, as has been said SL is really just a really pretty chat room.
