I paint, furry artwork, ceramics and Windstones. I used to be pretty decent at throwing a tomahawk, but need to set up a target so I can again.
I read everything in sight. I love horses and used to have 2, but had to give them up when we moved to Idaho two years ago. Now that we have 5 acres, once I get some darn fences in, I will be getting horses again. Yay!
Current hobbies have been landscaping the property and planning the veggie garden.

Well, look at it this way…I underestimated your shipping for mine, so you saved a few bucks, so that makes up for this person. But I agree, there are a lot of people on eBay who gouge majorly on shipping.
I really watch the shipping cost when I am bidding, and if it seems too excessive, then I don’t bid.
The last one I won was a big pain in the tail, he sent me 4 invoices, 4! Each one had a different total for shipping, each one going up an average of $2 per invoice, so my $25 item was up to $35 by the last invoice, when the first invoice said shipping would be $4.95.
I wrote him like 5 times, no response about which invoice was right. Final email I sent I told him I would be getting eBay involved if he didn’t respond. What do you know, he responded and said the shipping would be $4.95. So that is what I sent. It took me nearly 4 weeks of asking to get a response, and then I had to threaten.
Then he threatened me with poor feedback if I gave him any…oh what a jerk. He doesn’t deserve good feedback, so once I have my dragon, he is getting negative with a comeback from me explaining why he gave me bad in response.
It will ruin my standing, I have never had poor feedback, ever, but people need to know he is unreliable and a poor communicator. I definately will not ever buy anything from him again. I am also considering sending his last email with all my previous ones attached to eBay. See what they have to say about his failure to communicate and resulting feedback scores.
Anyway, rotten eBayers abound, all you can do is try to guess which ones will be on the up and up, most will, so don’t let it upset you too much. This guy is the first one I’ve had to deal with in nearly 8 years of being on eBay.

I finally got to communicate with her. She did receive it, I just guess I hadn’t been clear enough in the rules to say that we have to post pictures or a message as soon as we get them. I asked her to do it, but she hasn’t responded to my email.
Okay, weird…well since she got it, but hasn’t posted it, should I? I can announce who it was to, etc.
I can’t say I am very happy at this point…3 weeks of silence, wondering if it was lost. Still not knowing if she liked it or not. No, I’m definately not happy. I will discuss this further with you in private.

Looks great!
I still need to email you a pic of the finished male I did that you sold me.

Oh, it’s lovely BTW…I really like it. Whomever did it, outdid themselves.
Was this yours Bluepony?

I put interference on the scales so that they would slightly change depending on lighting and vantage point. His blue scales have green over some, pruple on others, and gold on a few. his wings have red interference, and the gold/copper scales down the back have purple over them. honestly my cammera just can’t seem to get all the colors. 🙂
I GOTTA GET ME SOME INTERFERENCE PAINTS…oops..darn caps key…but I still gotta get some interference paints..yep..I do!

Melody wrote:purplecat wrote:My windstone dealer said somebody knocked over a table and broke about 20 windstones! Eek! However, they said they’d sell them to me for cheap. Still waiting on the specific pieces and prices but I’m so excited to try a little repair work. Hoping they’ll sell me the whole batch for a good price. Excited to do repaints!! I can never bear the thought of painting over a perfectly fine windstone but I have no problem with doing it to broken ones. Suggestions on my dragon hospital?
If you repaint these, it would be wonderful if you would sign the bottoms and write “repainted by” on them. That will help us keep track of these, and fifty years from now it will help the antique dealers figure out what all these purple Windstones are !
I did that with the male dragon I repainted. Labeled and dated. Though my evil plan is, if my friend ever doesn’t want him anymore, he is to return him to me, and if he dies first, I’ve asked him to put it in his will that he is to go to me. 🙂

Just get a tube of yellow ochre acrylic from Daler-Rowney brand.
Pick up some acrylic thinner, and wha la, buckskin colored paint. If you want it to be lighter, mix in white. you can thin with water too, but I’ve found the thinner specifically for acrylics works really nicely.
I’ve been using this brand for years, it’s cheap but good quality.
hope that helps.

I base coat everything…usually black, but sometimes white. Then the body colors and then fine details. Wonderful thing about acrylics, they layer nicely.

I like 1 or 4, but think 4 would work better, especially if you use a shade of red highlights that blend into your hair a bit. Blond I think would be too loud, but woulc probably look good. But your work may not care for it.
Silly question, but why must it be short?

My ferret Daphne stole brushes, any kind of brush, if it had bristles, it was hers. She’d stash them under the dresser. Unfortunately she passed away earlier this year, old age.
Since then, we adopted two other ferrets, and expanded our ferret total to three.
Ferrets are great, we plan to show ours in July.

Kujacker wrote:Hey Kyrin, did you get delivery confirmation? If you did… you could tell if they got it or not yet x:
I sent mine today! The woman told me he should get there within 2-3 days! 😀
No, I sent it Priority, and wasn’t expecting no response from the recipient, it should have been at her place the Saturday before this one.
I am glad I insured it, cause it may be lost.

I get up at 3 am, make my lunch, grab something to eat and be at work by 4 am.
4 am, begin work, fish processing evisceration, sound fun? Hey it’s work and it pays well, with bennies.
Usually off work by 2:30pm. Sometimes later, we’ve worked as late as 4:30pm, but it is rare.
Get off work, come home, eat something, last food break was around 10am, then play with the baby, check email and goof off on PC, take a bath, or nap, read, paint, whatever I have energy for.
Today, got up at 3am, went to work, went home at 5am, I have the stomach flu and am having issues at both ends, so decided trying to be at work and supressing these issues would be too difficult. Went back home and slept most of the day.
Need to make dinner soon, and the big thing is I am not hungry, well I am, and I am not.

She as in Dragonmedley?
I heard from DM a few days ago…but I haven’t seen anything from my recipient since Apr 18th.
Kyrin
Sorry… I read your post too fast. 😳 I was thinking Dragonmedly was your recipient.
We’re not allowed to tell, are we?
I just wish my recip would show up.
