Thanks guys, and sure I can link. It was one of those hidden but not hidden items. 😉

-hugs- The Army sucks sometimes. I did my 5 years active duty required by my MOS when I signed up, then I was outta there. I understand that they get to tell you where we have to go and what we have to do, but at the end of it all I’d never felt so degraded in my LIFE.
I hope it all works out for you.
I just won an ebay auction for a peacock OW. Final price was $125 or so before shipping costs. Now I just have to pray he gets here in one piece!
I’m already running out of room. 😛 If I buy many more, we’ll have to knock out a wall and add on. 😆
I didn’t use any kind of clearcoat over the gold, as it blended in very well just like it was. Have fun! 😀
If you look closely, you’ll see that my gold paint pens there have different numbers on them. They are the same color, and the number does just correspond to the tip size and type. You said you tried the paint on paper, hold it up next to the dragon and see how close the color is. That’s what I did before I took the plunge and touched up my ruby OW.
Yes, happy birthday a bit early. 😀
Mine has the light blue jewels as well. I had to run down to get the silvers out to check them otherwise it would drive me crazy. All light blue.
If that OW wouldn’t probably hit $1500 +, I’d make a go for him. I love those prototypes.
And speaking of silvers, when was the silver sun added to the ebay auctions windstone page? I don’t like the suns, but that guy has my skin all goosebumply! 😆
Nice footage! I’ve gotten to hold a golden, last summer while I was volunteering at the local raptor rehab. They are massive birds. I’m hoping to volunteer again this year. Once I get my license I’ll be happy to just hunt bunnies and bushytails with a Harris, though.
Golden Eagles are amazing birds. If you’re a lucky enough falconer to have a license to keep one, you can hunt prey as big as a whitetail deer with one!
Heh, mine just says “if you want it, get it”. Gotta love him. 😀
Added an emerald OW back to the list, since apparently the seller I found was a scammer. 🙄
Show me what ya got!

Careful with this person. She showed up here looking for values, and made deals she then backed out of with several forum members. She listed the pieces on ebay seperately after they didn’t sell as a group. I bought her emerald OW for $200 through ebay, and have heard nothing from her since I paid. The item was won and paid for on 2/18 and was supposed to be shipped via USPS. She lives approximately 7 hours from me, so if it was shipped it should be getting here. It should have *already* been here. I emailed last night to ask when and if this had shipped and have yet to get a reply, wheras before I paid she answered those emails within minutes.
I’m not saying the girl’s a scammer, but definitely beware. I do not have good vibes about this.
I’m not trying to be nasty, but I’d suggest everyone steer clear of this person. It’s been 10 days since I last heard from her, and I don’t think it’s at all unreasonable for me to have emailed her daily since then asking her when this item shipped and to please update me. Two hundred bucks is two hundred bucks, ya know? Anyways, no response, so I figure he must’ve been sold to a higher bidder locally since none of the other items were relisted. I’m filing a claim with ebay tomorrow and hope they nail her to the wall.
Melody wrote:Gosh! thank you so much for the generous offer! We have a deal with a tucking company in Corvallis. They have been taking truckloads of our stuff (four, so far!) when they need a South Cal. load to fill an empty truck heading back north. So we are covered for the moment. Thank you! Really!
That’s great news! Backhauls can be hard to find in Cali. It’s usually either cheap produce you have to sit in the field for a couple days to pick up, or you have to travel quite a ways to get something else. And with fuel topping $3 a gallon and most trucks averaging 7-10 miles per gallon you can see why running an empty truck can quickly get you into debt with the bank. The only thing I ever hauled out of southern Cali was some muffins I had to pick up from an industrial area near Compton and I’m sure you can imagine my apprehension at taking myself into that area! Mostly I ended up heading up to around the Sacramento area to pick up frozen Birdseye veggies or a load of garlic product. In your case, everyone wins. Sounds like everything’s going well, and I’ve got my fingers crossed that that continues to be the case for the rest of the move.
That’s very frustrating. All that time lost while the auction was going on, when the Keeper could already be on her way to her new home. 🙄
Nice!! Congrats, I’m thrilled he got to you in one piece. You must have been on pins and needles the entire time.
