I was kind of hoping we’d get a “new store item” mail telling us when to expect them (not just the back in stock) one, but perhaps not. I’d like to know too, just so I know when it’s safe to go and do other things.
I suspect they’re all working like mad to get things finalized. 🙂

I actually DO hope it’s today. I had a dream last night where a flock of poads was running in all directions and dozens of crazed Windstone fans were desperately trying to scoop them up. It looked like one of those Black Friday horror stories. I’d really like a decent night’s sleep tonight instead. LOL
as of 2:00 pm Monday Feb 20th 20122: The Grab Bag Young Poads will not be going into the store today. There are still a bunch that haven’t opened their eyes.

Congratulations! Glad you liked him & that he arrived safely! Do post if you get pics that better show the shading; I’m probably not the only one curious to see “real life” images of this paint scheme.

The only two hour block I can’t be home from now until late Friday is smack in the middle of this afternoon. I’d love to know that this was going to be a 5 PM release….it’s starting to really stress me out.

To me, there’s pluses and minuses to both states, so whatever makes you happy is what matters. (One bad marriage & one good here, same with my husband–and we lived together for four years before I even let him propose. LOL)
And Branzy, buy the dress, skip the rest, and go have some smashing pics taken of you and hubby, on a beach somewhere or in a favorite spot.. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t feel any more married after the ceremony or any less married without it. But a dress that makes you feel & look amazing–well, that’s always a good thing! 😉

But preorder would tell them how many they need and it wouldn’t crash the store. Of course it might make more work for Susie because she’d have to send out invoices. I wonder if there is a way to add a preorder button that would automatically generate the invoices when they put them in the store. That way some could go in the store in addition to the preordered ones.
For preorder to work, I’d say also make it pre-pay. Then Melody can paint enough for everyone and a few spares if she likes.
The problem with preordering, but not pre-paying, is that I bet a lot of people would change their mind when the product was released and leave Windstone with unneeded items.
Totally agree on preorder with prepay–list a generously padded ETA (Expected to ship within two weeks, for example). Continue (while demand is high) to limit to one per customer, with preorders taken over say, two days–and limit those preorders to perhaps either the maximum number Melody wants to paint OR 2/3 of that (or 3/4, insert arbitrary percentage here) and leave the remainder for impulse buys. If for some really odd reason the GB didn’t sell out in those two days, you could always offer back the ability to try and grab a second one on the release date, for example. If that meant two separate orders to cut down on the paperwork on Susie’s end, no problem. I’d gladly pay shipping twice if that happened, wouldn’t care a bit.
But as far as GB’s go, it doesn’t seem to appear there’s such a thing as excess inventory. If they’re available, they’ll sell.

Has everyone who wants one pressed the “notify when back in stock” button on the Grab Bag Young Poad(tm) page? Just one time is enough…
I have this awful urge to go click it again. LOL Like that would make things happen faster!
On that note though, might throw a question to the web design crew to see if you can have the button change color/not be available/something to clue us in if we HAVE already asked for notification on something. Because honestly, I’ve forgotten at this point what I have & have not clicked (outside of GB poads). A way to get off the notify list for a given item might be helpful too if you’re going to use these for accurately gauging interest in a given LP–for example, I no longer need a CP male or Lap, but am probably on the list for each. (I think. Maybe. Can’t be sure because the button still says “notify me”.) 🙂
Just a thought.
(And pretty pretty please, not Monday afternoon for these; I had a doctor reschedule on me. Maybe having a limited time preorder period isn’t a bad idea…it’d sure beat the anxiety of OMG I can’t leave the house or I’ll miss out!)

LOL–an approximate time would be good here too, even if it’s a “between 4 and 7” or some such. That way I can stop flipping out every time the phone tells me I have a message. (For those of you of a certain age, it’s the ‘whoop whoop’ sound from the Addams Family–the original series–with Morticia going, “Ah, the mail’s in. Funny the first time…not so much when I’m only half awake!)
At least they yielded the $50 without fussing. But yeesh, stupid indeed when you gave them specific instructions to follow. It cost them a lot more to use crappy packaging than to just do it right!

Yay, you got a Valentine! I was a little worried you wouldn’t have the time. They’re adorable, but my favorite is still the Moon Dragon.
And yes, totally addicting, especially in the early levels. Once you get to the point where money’s less of a problem, you only end up checking a few times a day instead of constantly. LOL
