He might be an earlier one. Seems to have a nice bit of purple on him. Congrats on the handsome fellow! 😀

I was wondering about that. The sculpture has the year ’86 but the tag says 2000.

Aw man I would love to learn Japanese! It’s the one language I’m really interested in!
I totally agree the real Japanese versions of anime is so much better than the Enlglish translations. Besides the translations tend to cut out so much, and it really does make the story seem confusing sometimes.

Have you seen a doctor to see if they can give you something for the alergic reaction you seem to be having??

Feel better soon. I’m off to a camping trip tomorrow morning and have to remember to pack the insect repelent

Well I always wait a few days to see if I feel better before seeing a doctor. And the bites have stopped bothering me, the swelling is nearly gone.

However, I’m still feeling bad. The runny nose and sneezing has stopped and my gut is just off. I think this might be a touch of flu.

I had no choice but to call out again today. 🙁

Tomorrow I’m probably going to force myself to go, even if I’m not feeling any better. It will be a Friday so it will be for one day and then I have the weekend to hopefully get this bug out of my system.

I’ve been drinking tons of Nestle PureLife water (lol) and eating small meals so I hope this helps. I was shocked I went to bed at like 9:30 last night and didn’t get out of bed until 10:30am! YIKES. I almost never sleep that long…

Here is a copy, sort of I guess of a Young Dragon I found on Craigslist, listed under a Windstone dragon….http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/clt/1337508144.html

BLEH…that thing is jut butt ugly compared to a Windstone. In fact, for the person selling it to compare it to a Windstone is an insult!!

LOL! Thanks for the vote of confidence DM!

Looks like thanks to this thread I will have 3 or 4 people sending me some dragons to fix so we’ll see if I can live up to everyone’s expectations! 🙂

Hey believe me I’d be doing it too if I could, this could end up being a good side business for you! In this economy it never hurts to make a little extra money, especially doing something you love!

You know it’s funny I realized something was up since the past week I’ve just been feeling generally lousy with my stomach.
I had like a week of heartburn for no apparent reason, and any amount of healthy eating just wasn’t clearing it up.
Then, it suddenly stopped this past Monday, to be replaced with general nausea and feeling REALLY crappy and tired.
I managed to get through work yesterday but then when I went to bed, well….I woke up around 4:30 am or so and had the worst sinus toothache pain!! It was so bad I had to take Tylenol severe cold and sinus. It was barely enough to help me get back to sleep and then when I woke up a bit later, BAM….sneeze, sneeze, sneeze. I have been sneezing all day and it’s starting to get annoying!

*sigh* Aren’t I lucky?? I get hit with all this stomach junk and then suddenly a cold just storms on in out of nowhere. I can only suspect I might have caught it from mosquito bites since I had about 7 huge welts on my legs from those nasty things. (I HATE MOSQUITOES!!) I have a moderate allergic reaction so they get pretty big and itch like crazy. It’s all I can do not to scratch them as much as possible so they don’t get infected. 🙁

UNGH. I called out today but I really can’t take another day so hopefully I will feel well enough tomorrow.
To top it all of the medicine only upset my guts so I can’t take any more….I feel like pulling all of my teeth out!
    YUCK.

Yummy! I could use a salmon fillet, might help me fight this miserable cold that came out of nowhere.
*cries* My teeth HURT!! (Sinus headache…)

Well thanks to some very kind people on here, I have purchased my next Windstone after a lapse of over nearly a decade.
A very kind person purchased the two signed Michael Whelan blades from me and so I had the funds to go looking!

I was on the Windstone main page and clicked on some links to look for dealers in my area. I realized it was indeed better to buy from a local seller than to buy from the website. The real problem with this, as you all know, is that a lot of the stores just aren’t carrying them anymore or seldom stock them.

I called about ten different stores and finally found one at a mall….it was one of those kiosks. The friendly Indian man there informed me that he DID have Windstones, and some were dragons!

So off I went, driving about an hour to get there. Upon arrival to the mall, one which I’d never been to before, I got to his kiosk and saw that he had literally FOUR Windstones. That’s right, FOUR. And, he had no plans anytime soon to order more.

He had a male and baby unicorn, and believe me I would have snatched those up, if it weren’t for the fact that I am just a dragon lover, through and through. The two remaining dragons were in emerald peacock…a male, and a scratcher.

Now, I was hoping to find the black/gold ones, but….peacock variations are also a favorite of mine (I love purple and green together) and I quickly learned that any Windstone dragon is far more stunning in person than what you see in pictures. This pretty boy’s blends of purple, blue, and green hues were singing out to me… “Yes, I’ve been here all this time, and I’m waiting for YOU!”

I have a scratcher already and since I was looking for males the choice was easy.

So, here is my first male, in glorious emerald peacock. He has broken a long lapse of wait in acquiring another Windstone, and you can be sure he’ll be with me a very long time! 😀 😀
I will not part with my draconic beauties, oh no!!

Now I’m a shutterbug, so here’s a bunch of pics for ya! I need a better camera though…either that or better lighting. I think this apartment is too darn dark anyway, even when you open up blinds!

    Standing tall…

With flash for comparison. (Notice how a lot of the deep purple is lost…)

    Whatcha starin’ at?!

    Is this my better side?

I have wings, but I won’t fly away from you! 🙂

    Handsome face…bejeweled and all.

    Dragon claws! RAWR!

    Dragon tail!

Beauty is in the eye of the dragon.

All right well, I hope you enjoyed this little story and pics! ^_^
So, I’m pretty certain I’ll be collecting emerald peacocks now, slowly but surely! 🙂
Or maybe not so slowly, with how addicting these things are… XD
With one on the way and another in my future (on layaway), I am one happy Windstone addict!

I’m actually in the process of sending two of my own to dragonfeathers.
She’s very kind and charges extremely fair prices.
