There are times where I wish I could have stuck it out and gone to vet school, but I’m not sure if I could stand to see animals suffering. While I might not have enjoyed my science classes I LOVED my labs that went with them. I always thought it was funny that I would get a C in the class, but an A in the lab. 😆
Strange that sounds familiar…. probably why I decided to get the chem tech degree rather then the BSc. The theory kicked my sorry butt.
Hi and welcome to a fellow Canadian! Though I’m not from the GTA I thought you meant grand theft auto and I got confused. I don’t even own that game and that was my first thought.
Greater Toronto Area right? 😆
I have a pc but I hate it dearly. However that one button on macs that makes what you’re doing minimize really annoyed me when I had to use them for a pseudo lab in university (the entire lab required 0 chemicals).

Does it show that I’m totally disappointed and disgusted?
Yes, yes it does. I feel the pain of expensive university… I’ve put over 10 grand into it already. Kinda depressing.

Assuming you have a TV and some movies, pick out a good movie you’ve not seen in a while. Look at what you have in the house to eat, and see if you can come up with something a little unusual to prepare. Tell your fiance you have already planned a night in together and you’re both going to dress up for the occasion.
It would work on me, anyway, even if the meal was red beans and rice.
Next question: How do I get Nikita and Ryan out of the house for this…? Actually Ryan might be out of town but Nikita probably won’t be. Ah, maybe I can get him to visit his dad.
I hate money and stress… I especially hate worrying about both when my birthday is rolling around. AH whatever.
I’m gonna go sleep now or something…
Can someone tell me what to say to my fiancee to get him to not take me out on my birthday?
I do really want to just go out, have a nice meal, etc, but none of us can afford it. We can barely afford food right now. And Ryan is getting sick of covering for us on rent because we ran out of money.
I wish we could worry about something other then finances for once, but that’s all our conversations come back to, we can’t afford this, we can’t afford that. For instance I need new shoes since I wrecked my only non-sandal shoes at work (I paint so now they are completely gone). But of course I can’t afford that. I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford my next batch on insulin, or what will happen to Kimi (our cat) if we find something is wrong with her on Wednesday (she seems to be unable to make it to the litterbox). Heck at this rate I won’t be able to afford to go to school next fall.
I know this just seems like it’s nothing big but it’s really getting me down and it seems like there’s nothing I can do. I’ve resorted to begging – BEGGING, mind you, my grandparents for money. At this rate I may have to sell some of my windstones – and I got those for gifts. There’s only two that I bought myself.
I feel so down about this, and I’m trying to keep optimistic and I’m trying to keep Colin optimistic but it’s really not working.
I’m sorry you probably don’t want to read this, but I needed to vent.
I’m not even all that fond of milk either, I’m more partial to cheese. Really the only time I have milk is when I have cereal and I don’t use much.

Oh wow he’s looking good! Really does look like he’s blushing.
Oh that was really nice of Melody!!! It sounds really pretty! You’re lucky!
I don’t think I was in the last one so I sent off an email. Here’s to hoping it somehow doesn’t get lost in cyberspace.
(it took me 5 tries to spell cyberspace) 🙄
Thanks Melody! Wait… you do send these wherever right, it wasn’t just for the states or something? I don’t want to get my hopes up and then realize that there was no chance since I’m Canadian or something. Either way they are fun!
Hope your recovery goes well…

I vote for the raffles even though I’ve only ever seen the result of the last one. I think I was too late to enter or I just never figured out how.
I won something once in my life!!!! It was a big stuffed bulldog when I was 8, I didn’t know I’d won until people kept coming up to me and congratulating me…. 🙄
Raffles are fun! Especially since I can’t afford anything, the chance to win something is seriously tempting.

Ahhhhhhhhhh… but I remember a day long ago when I used to LOVE the color orange, and alas… I work full time at Home Depot and the sight of all that orange makes me think of that awful place and the hideous aprons they make me wear! AAHHH!!!
😆 I swear soon I’m going to start to bleed orange! I do still think he’s lovely though. I just hate Home Depot with the passion of 1,000 suns! Even my avatar reminds me of the Depot. Ick!
LOL! Home Depot, the place where a friend of mine will work for the rest of his life. Since I’m wondering which passing fad will actually go anywhere (he’s been through chef, army, and I think his latest is lab tech).
