The Grandio offer is 20% off orders over $100 and free shipping – only good on orders placed between 9/20 and 10/4
So it starts tomorrow, right? I went to their website and didn’t see a “sale”. How is their shipping? Is it safe? Do they double box etc?

π π π Nah- they were mostly behind glass but those that were out, smelled of incense.
And yes, money does change ppl. I was just hoping that it wouldnt have done that to someone who had such a good and loyal patron in me for so long, as well as sending ppl to her store in person too. Ya live ya learn; Im over it.
Maybe they needed more “incense” money! π
pegasi1978 wrote:Hey if you can get a steal on a piece I say go for it. If I had the space my Windstones would get a curio of their own, plus I’d get another curio so some of the pieces in my old one aren’t as crowded and can be seen better.
Yeh, right now they are in the bookcase I store my first editions. It’s kinda dark in there, so I can hardly see them…especially my BG OW…I just see his blue eyballs hovering…kinda creepy:)
DAMN VD! I love that BG emperor! (drools more!) π
pegasi1978 wrote:One thing to consider when looking for a curio is an unfinished furniture store. They will often have very nice curios that only need staining and sealing and you can save some money that way. That is if you don’t mind taking the time to finish it yourself.
I have a curio holding my porcelin dolls that was from an unfinished furniture store. My dad and I spent a couple weekends doing a detail sanding, staining and varnishing. I’ve had the cabinet about 18 years now and it still looks great. I just have to be careful when it is moved because it had an accident with a shelf that fell off the garage wall and knocked it over breaking one of the curved glass panels and twisting one of the legs. The same store we bought it from ordered us a new panel and my dad nailed the leg back into place.
Well I’m buying antique pieces off craigslist and estate sales! They are REALLY reasonable, and solid, not to mention they won’t go down in value. I like to go on the final days of estate sales where they discount 50% or more. I’ve had them give me stuff before just to get them out!

WOW! Can I just come and live with you VD so I wouldn’t have to buy either?! (droool):D
As for all the curio votes, you guys are soooo practical, but probably right also! It’s one I found in my area’s craigslist, but I cant get a hold of the seller yet…so who knows…maybe the money munching dragons are still in my future….
CRAP! I love the browns, and OW is my favorite sculpt! I’m broke now though. Is she gonna make more?????
Should I….hmmmm…how fast did they sell out last time?
PT, So like do your Windstones that you bought there smell like pot? π Your dragons must be the most laid back of the bunch π
OK…I got to choose…shall I spend money on ebay snatching up dragons or get a curio to store them? What should I do first? I’m so conflicted! I can’t afford to do both obviously, and there’s a great deal on a curio in my area, but that would mean no Windstones for a while. It should be a good choice, but ggrrrrrrrrrr….. π‘
ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……… πΏ

Mind you guys- while I posted what I quickly googled about dragon colors, they arent a personal view on what I believe them to be. You know I love black and Im offended by the interpretations I pasted here. Plus, they all seem to be hoarders and evil. Bunk!
I have my own view of the medieval dragon and their personality traits. They dont have to do with colors but I guess they could. I think what ppl here could come up with as meanings for colors is exponentially more interesting than anything I had googled. I just did a paste for a jumping off point to get it rolling.
OK! Lets hear what you guys think of different color/power combos!
For me black has always embodied power. My favorite Windstones are the BG ones. I love my BG OW Proto. I see him as a powerful, brooding, confident loner. I’m letting him breath as we speak. It’s funny I keep my dragons in curios and when ever I’m on the forum, I crack the glass door and let them breath… π
