I never posted the octopus. *face palm* Thank you for letting me know fellow forum member!
5 octopus with 8 fins each is 40 Tentacles. At 10 suckers a tentacle, that means 400 suckers. Each octopus has around 80 suckers, give or take a few. You wanna count them for me?
The octopuses are all claimed now. I’ll be making a few more (or as many as are requested) in March when I get more clay. These are fun to make if anyone wants to give it a shot!

Oh my! #941781Sigh, I’m sick again, but still trying to get things done. I’ve been working on commissions, made listings for several new prints in the storenvy shop and uh….octopuses. Lots and lots of octopuses. So I made an octopus yesterday. And its super popular and i had 8 requests for them this morning. Depsite my mini flu i got 5 sculpted and awaiting paint today. And I only have enough clay for one more, but i’ll be getting more clay and making some more, cuz the apparent demand is there.
soooo hi everyone.
I have one more blank hippocampus of someone wants to commission me for one.
This is the linework for an 11 x 14 painting
My work at the emerging artist show.
Another sculpture commission in progress.
And finally another turtle piece, colored pencil this time.

Hey I saw this while she was working on it! That lady is a member of one of the facebook artist groups I am part of. It was for a book cover I think!

I really, really, really need to know all about this:
[snipped for length]
Thank you for taking so many wonderful pictures, and sharing them!
That was something a previous painter created and they are trying to see if any pf the production painters can figure out how it was done to see if it can be replicated
The new hatchers were made to come out so they would be easier and cleaner to paint I beleive
“something a previous painter created” – the Lap, or the Mini Keeper?
Ah, well, that makes a lot of sense for the hatchers. So not all of them come apart – what a neat bit of trivia to have discovered; thanks!
The lap dragon, I also saw several matching pieces. Not sure about the minikeeper.
Oh wow, how awesome that you got to visit Windstone and Co for two weeks! Thank you so much for the pictures, it is always fun seeing photos of the inside of the factory and it is great that you took pictures of outside, I miss all the Oregon greenery.
It was really nice seeing so much green, but boy does it rain a lot there in the winter time!

I really, really, really need to know all about this:
Melody, make my entire year and tell me this is going to be a new LP/store-stocked color?!? I’ve been yearning for a purple-with-blue-overtones color scheme for years… (Not too long ago, in the Conga Line thread, I jokingly said that I wanted to talk you into making “Iolite” a color scheme – and I linked to a photo of some cut iolites. They were almost exactly the color of this dragon!!)
This little guy is adorable, and I can’t quite figure out what colors he is:
Red and brown? Copper and green? Burnt-sienna and umber? Whatever he is, it’s lovely; subdued, but with just enough flash to catch the eye. I think it will have lots of fans, given how excited a certain subset of the Forums gets whenever an earth-toned dragon appears on Ebay!
Aaaaaand this made me giggle:
Who knew hatchers could come out of their eggshells? I’d never have guessed – I thought they were sculpted all in one piece! Since I’ve always thought the new hatcher looks like he’s driving a little bumper car, now I’m picturing him getting out of one that broke down and climbing into a new one to speed away! 😀

I just finshed the tiger last night to find out the deadline was tuesday next week and not today. *face palm*
Regardless, here is is:
If you are really adventurous and are seriously interested in this large painting, it is available here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/265887547/spellbound-2016-original-canvas-painting
Otherwise, I’ll be taking pre-orders on prints of it shortly for it through my storenvy. The print files have been finalized, I just need to order some more paper and ink in. I’ll also be prepping prints files for the Jellyfish painting, the leopard and the mountain lion and taking pre-orders on those as well, 🙂
Thanks for supporting my work and the work of all the amazing artists on this forum!

Neat photos in the post! I see a couple Curlies on the one shelf I’d love to have! LOL!However, the facebook link didn’t work for me – the page said “Sorry this content isn’t available right now” when I clicked on it. Did you move the photos?
I got that message until I logged into Facebook and then the photos are visible. There are about 120 photos, so probably too many to post all of them here!
Thank you Etruscan! Ya I got home and realized i had like 800 photos in corvallis. Alot of them were like super blurry or a dozen pics of the same subject and slightly varying angles lol
