I got up early at 5 am this morning, was in the direct sun from 7 am to 6 pm today, with it being over 102* F from noon on, despite lupus, and migrain, and only sold two prints and post card the entire day. Story made short, I feel really ill from being in the heat and sun, am in the hole over $300 and have a myriad of prints (about 160 to be exact) that need sold as well as like 15 originals.

I feel like crap….whimper…not to mention, a jerk had to the audacity to stand in my tent, right in front of me, and tell his girlfriend who was about to buy a print, that my work was horrible and that i ” should as my art teacher for a refund” . Grrr… That just p’d me off. I just said im self taught and he glared at me and shuffled out of the tent dragging his girl behind him.

more info on these prints can be found on my art thread…:P life is sure as heck not for me right now. That and the hospital forwarding me to a collections agency for a paid bill and trashing the perfect credit i have spent the last three years building up. >.< I'm hiding now. Goodnight....

Sorry to hear that. Don’t listen to negative people as they probably don’t even know what art is anyway. I hope you sell more paintings and prints!

Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

Ugh, the heat is awful! I’m on a vacation to the Idaho area with my mom to celebrate turning 40 last week, and this heat wave is making it a lot less fun than I hoped. We went into Glacier for a day on Saturday but only enjoyed the morning (construction in the park didn’t help) and yesterday we drove from that area to Spokane Valley, and it was brutal. We got out for a little bit at Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene…can’t imagine being out all day! :O

Hoping to somehow enjoy something in Spokane today even though it only got DOWN to the 80s. So much for a trip to the mountains to escape the heat, ha ha! 😥

Yeah, come to N Idaho and bake. I’m not allergic to the sun, but my Mom is. We don’t have AC either. Fortunately, we do have a finished basement. That’s where we’ll be living for the next however-long. Of course, I have to get out almost every day. The heat makes it hard to sleep and I’m already tired from depression and a possible sleep problem. I have an appointment for a sleep study this week to see if there’s anything medical there. My brother needed a (dang, can’t remember the name, one of those breathing machines). I hope I don’t need one:( Well, here’s hoping there’s not many fires during this hot, dry spell for all of you suffering through this with us.

That would be a CPAP or BiPAP machine.

Ya im pretty much allergic to it with lupus. If i put on long pants and then pull up the legs in the sunshine the rash will appear right before your eyes, its almost spooky

Mom will be having surgery to put a plate and screws in her ankle Thursday.

Now the ex’s wife is being difficult and won’t even answer if he has left on his government contract deployment or not. Gavin’s visitation is with his father not the rest of the family. Once dad is gone visitation is over and if I find out on Friday he’s already gone and I wasn’t told I’m raising hell.

Argh! Why car? Why? I’m supposed to get Gavin back today. You are not allowed to break down on me. :t-cry:

Check engine light came on. Misfire due to bad coil pack. They can’t do anything today … too busy. Have someone coming to get me. We will ditch my car…get Gavin. …come back to get my car and take it to our usual place for first thing Monday morning.

WHINE my hands are on fire still! Found a dog on the 4th, brought him around to the neighbors to see if anyone recognized him. No one knew him, and he smelled funny, like cloves, and his fur was really oily. Turns out someone had pepper sprayed him! Some of the neighbors who had been petting him got it in their eyes and had some swelling problems, ack. Dog is sweet but ill-trained, 90pounds of pitty muscle and NO manners. Knocked me over this morning when I was trying to get him fed.

Gave him a bath this morning since it still seemed to be all over him, dog seems to feel better but I got it all over my hands. Tried lots of water, baking soda, shampoo, almond milk and baking soda, and vegetable oil and more water. So yeah, whine whine whine from me and my burning hands, though probably not as much whine as that poor pup was doing!

That’s nice of you to rescue the poor dog! Hopefully your hands feel better soon!

Try some dawn on the dog and your hands. That is what they use with the animals here for the oil spill.

              #931634

You could go to the local police station and tell them your dog came home pepper sprayed. Ask them how they get it off!

Got a fire burning near here. Not that close (yet), but I’m still way nervous. My Mom and I are watching the news. I really don’t think it’ll get here (or I’m in denial). Hard to think about what to take if we have to leave. I’d have to leave all my Windstones, yikes! I truly do not think it will travel the many miles it would take to get here, but my stomach is a bit upset. Jumpy and just a little scared. I really don’t like living in this forested area. I’d move if I could.

Got the call earlier today, surgery on the 13th of July. I was hoping it would hold off until after my birthday on the 15th, but the Doc says get it done, so it shall be! I think I am more worried about the surgical menopause than I am the surgery itself at this point. I just hope my poor husband can weather through the mood swings that are bound to hit, considering how fantastic he is, I am sure he will. I have to admit there is an odd sort of sadness to losing everything at the age of 36. Wish me luck, seven days and counting down.
