Wow – That kirin turned out awsome. And the Griffin looks really cool 😀 .
July 10, 2009 at 6:05 pm #760943I saw a ton of different colored headdresses for him, or on him in pics. The most common dating back from the 330b.c. period were blue and white, or red and green. (I think that was because of the different Egyptian cultures though.) I quite liked the blue and white. The red and green I may try some other time for myself, but I am in no hurry for my own. Too many ideas to be in a hurry for that! LOL (I’ve been thinking of this guy and Tut Griffins and wolves since PYO’s were first out, so this was a great theme for me!) There are just so many pics of Anubis out there, but not many that are NOT black and gold with no other colors, or artist renderings in cartoon. I love those sculpts they sell, but now that I know he isn’t always just black and gold… 😀
Referee! XD Michelle, you kill me!
And Griffinlover, I too am a nut for Ancient Egypt. But also I love my Greek Gods, and my Dinosaurs. (I remember having an argument with my mother when I was 12, on how true the bible was because there were NO dinosaurs mentioned in it. Just that God created man and woman out of dirt and gave them names… 😳 But, if you think about it, there are many Gods for many religions. 😉 )
And thank you all for your wonderful compliments! It’s been raining all day here, and I had to go yesterday to a birthday celebration, so sunny pics…Just not in the works right now. I don’t have a pic for my gallery for the Ki-Rin yet, so I will have to wait till tomorrow. Hopefully, or I am gonna go out back and build an Ark, it has rained so much here lately that the ground is so saturated, I have a small river at the back of my yard, and there is NO waterway there, just grass. 😮
July 10, 2009 at 10:40 pm #760944omg… I can not wait for the next update on this one! So cool! 8)
July 13, 2009 at 12:01 pm #760945😮 Sorry about the mistaken identity 😀 Egyptian is very cool.

(Wanted......Brimstone Lap)
Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.July 14, 2009 at 7:14 pm #760946Ok here are the pics of the next step on the Anubis Griffin. I took a shot of the top of his head too. It was semi-cloudy out, but it did photo well. 🙂
I am headed downstairs now to grab up the brushes and work a bit more today.July 14, 2009 at 7:15 pm #760947Wow. So neat!
July 14, 2009 at 8:27 pm #760948I already want him! I’ve always loved egyptian things! *steals*
July 14, 2009 at 9:39 pm #760949That is so cool! 8)
July 14, 2009 at 10:37 pm #760950Oh my goodness! 😀
July 15, 2009 at 2:10 am #760951OMG, Jen, he’s a stunner! The headdress idea is way cool and the wings are totally awesome. I’m not fond of the PYO griffin’s pose, but with these designs, it’s perfect, actually.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmJuly 15, 2009 at 12:37 pm #760952The kirin turned out gorgeous and the griffin looks better and better. I think it’s going to be a stunner when it’s finished!
July 16, 2009 at 4:32 pm #760953Thanks guys! 😳 I only had the one side of his wings with blue on them for the pics. I finished that up, and he’s got a few more dots…I got onto ebay…Scott let me use his paypal, and I got a couple bags of rhinestones on the way…Well, I haven’t heard from the seller yet, but I hope I did the paypal thingy right. I miss money orders! (I was going for some Lapis stones, but I didn’t get them! 😡 )
*trots back downstairs to paint*July 16, 2009 at 5:10 pm #760954The Ki-rin and the Gryphon are both very interesting. The blue on the gryphon I wasn’t sure about, but now I’m really warming up to it 🙂 You come up with color combos and designs that in my head I’d probably think were impossible to be pleasing, but your painted pieces always prove me wrong 🙂
July 21, 2009 at 12:28 am #760955I love it, I want it! I guess I’m another one who you have to watch otherwise I might steal him too! 😀
July 22, 2009 at 1:40 am #760956Ok…Had a bit more time before I began my swap and this is where I got on him…His jewels are on the way, and hopefully they will work with what I am going for. 😉
I wanted his wings to be a bit dressy since he will be mostly black. I haven’t gotten to his lower half yet, but I will work on him again VERY soon! 😀 -
