Awwww, SO envious! I’ve been on the list for a decade or so too. How exciting! I hope you’re a match and it goes super smooth and it’s a huge help to the recipient. It’s neat how many of them are done with injections and apheresis now.

      BIG THUMBS UP! 😀

Thank you! Yeah, apparently Apheresis is a pretty easy procedure so it’s great that it’s usually the easy procedure. I mean, I handle anesthesia ok so I can do the other kind if they need it but I’d rather do the easy one!

That is awesome Natasha!! I may do that even though I’m almost 39. Who knows? I may help someone, too.

IM IN THE STATES!!!! I’m now in El Paso and so far I’m either loving it here or just loving being back in the states. Not only that, we looked at a house to buy today. Had been doing the shopping and paperwork on line but got to see it in person today. If all goes well we’ll be closing around 1august!!!! I hope so because I LOVE the house and the neighborhood:)

The generosity of some people astounds me.

My husband’s grandparents are paying off the balance on his car (which would be paid off by next May). They are doing it because they see how he has always worked hard for everything and never had anything given to him (unlike his younger half-brothers who have everything handed to them on a silver platter). They were already kind enough to co-sign when he bought the car a few years ago, and now this.

And then there’s a pharmacist I work with who bought breakfast foe the call center (90 people) to say thank you and farewell. Today is her last day with us because she is going on extended disability due to the very rare and aggressive cancer she has. Over the last two years she has gone through three rounds of chemo (one of which was for the WRONG type of cancer), had an eye removed, etc cetera. Inn the call center we had a couple different fundraisers for her, dedicated the relay for life ream to her…and she still feels the need to thank us.

So lots of you know that I work as a scenic painter for one of our local theaters. My boss Nat, had been employed with Jim Henson and apprenticed with him. He’s got some really awesome stories about the Muppets and what it was like working so closely with Mr. Henson. So, my heck yeah – the next show in the pipeline is “James and the Giant Peach” and Nat has got some awesome puppets in the works. I got tapped to work with Nat on that part of the project and will be starting today! I guess I also feel a little vindicated since some of the other painters complain that I’m too methodical, too meticulous … They don’t know about this project and they weren’t asked to help with it; I was and I’m really stoked to get to learn construction techniques as well as getting to paint ’em from one of the “masters” from Mr. Henson’s creature shop

                      Wooooow! That’s awesome, Becky!

How the heck can you be too methodical in painting sets and scenery? Really???

Them people need to start painting PYOs…

Wahoo! I’ve gotten a second chance offer for a piece from eBay! I was kinda bummed that I had forgotten to be online during the end of the auction. I will somehow find the dough for this piece!

I’m actually just super happy about this, I’ve got another two days to shuffle things so I can get him. Yea, happy dance!
