When I google “Quillin” I get nothing…but Qilin comes up as a Chinese mythological creature. It is a good omen thought to occasion prosperity or serenity, and often depicted with what looks like fire all over its body. Is that the right creature? Or is Quillin something different?

“Quilin” is right. I had spelled it wrong.
I’m riveted on the little dragon facing the mini keeper, between it and the horse bust and just over/behind the images of the Quilin. What’s the story on him? Ever hopeful on new dragons!
(and I really like the Quilin, speaking of him. I like the doggish feeling of him!)I can’t wait for that PYO Oriental Dragon! So many color possibilities… I know it’s not very original, but I think it’d look great in red and gold.

Thanks for the comparison pic, Etruscan; I thought I’d remembered the trover as bigger than the mk, but my memory isn’t worth anything anymore. Waiting on him too! And thanks for the first picture, as one of the handful who doesn’t have a FB. Would have never seen it otherwise.
(it threw me also that the mystery dragon looks to have mantled wings, like the mk- I did remember the raised wings on the trover. I’d wondered about it being a rough of the baby and the angle just not showing the wings, but it has the longer more lizardy skull of the young/mk/etc. and which I prefer)I’m quite sure that I’ve seen another photo of the “mystery dragon”, but I can’t find it.
In the meantime … more pebble horse photos. 🙂

This is a pebble pony, airbrushed in palomino. The color helps me see what needs more sanding . There’s always something to fix. He is about 5 1/2″ long.
