I have finally mastered a way to make a convincing “flea bitten” coat pattern, but like the real horses, some people might consider them ugly!
Haha, Now you know we gotta see it! 😉

June 10, 2016 at 1:53 am #948994This is what Melody wrote when I messaged her 4 days ago about a ball park estimate when the GB would be ready.
”I will probably finish painting them next week, but we still need to order the cutting die for the felt pads. It may take a couple weeks before we get it and cut the pads .
I am guessing it will be near the end of the month before they are finished boxed, and in our store.
Are you on the mailing list? We’ll send out a notice when they are ready.”So I guess it really depends when those felt pads come in that’ll decide their release.

Thanks, that’s helpful to know. I have a little longer to save then 🙂

Not currently open for PYO commissions.June 11, 2016 at 9:21 pm #949060Not to put the cart in front of the horse but after the ponies are released will we be seeing the baby unicorns any time soon after that? Would love to add a few more to my herd.
June 11, 2016 at 11:38 pm #949062Yes, please let the baby unicorns be next.
June 14, 2016 at 8:36 pm #949092Wondering when we might see some Tanzanite baby dragons ? 😉
June 15, 2016 at 3:07 pm #949103I love the dapple greys on this new pony sculpt. My family has a yearling who will turn out to be that color, and it is beautiful.
Keeping an eye out for fantasy gryphons and test paint dragons.
June 16, 2016 at 6:34 pm #949111Melody posted some more GB horse photos on her DeviantArt page:
Flea Bitten Red Horse – Close up of the “flea bitten ” horse color, so you can see the speckles. It is surprisingly difficult to get an airbrush to spatter in a consistent way when you want it to!
Flea Bitten Grey Horse – This is a close up of the grey “flea bitten” horse color, airbrushed on one of the “grab bag”edition of horses I am painting.
I painted a few “pink roans” too. This one looks like he has a chestnut base.
This one isn’t very “pink”, but he’s a flaxen maned roan. My cell phone camera distorts his proportions a little.
June 16, 2016 at 7:43 pm #949112Oh, those roans look awesome!!!!
Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.
June 16, 2016 at 8:30 pm #949114Those are really beautiful! I don’t collect horses unles they are the winged or horned variety, but I can see why you guys would be excited about them!!
Wanted: "Dragon Fruit" Male Dragon ~ "Fire Berry", "Paradise", "Dragon Fruit", "Tie Dye" ~ The brighter, the better!
June 17, 2016 at 12:38 pm #949120Those ponies are all beautiful! I really like roan and the flea-bitten look (and appaloosas, and dapples, and solid colours, etc). 😀 Also, it’s a nice change of pace from the fantasy unicorns.
