eBay listing uses Windstone Editions in it’s title, even though item being sold is clearly not a WE dragon.
Looking for...
Sitting young oriental dragon koi gold and white
November 30, 2018 at 11:15 pm #1546231It looks like that was a “carry-over description” or wrong picture mistake. The listing has been corrected.
December 22, 2018 at 12:10 pm #1549960I found these on etsy today and have emailed John about them I’m pretty sure they are knock-offs.

Please let me know if you know of any available. Thank you!
December 22, 2018 at 3:02 pm #1549971Sheesh. The male looks like it was made from a mold made off an original, and the mother looks like somebody else sculpted it using the original mother as a model. I suspect that everything they’re selling is like that, and I just don’t recognize the non-Windstone ones.
My keyboard is broken. I keep pressing "Escape", but I'm still here.
January 1, 2019 at 12:12 am #1550845I found something that I believe is hinky, but honestly, I’m not sure what to do with it, if anything. I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to put this item.
I found a hatcher listed as a “Royal Citrine” test paint on ebay, the seller gives no real description otherwise. What worries me is that it’s listed as a very specific item that I’m not sure ever existed, at least I couldn’t find it with a quick search. There is nothing but a couple of fuzzy red marks that just look like stains on the bottom. Really I believe it’s an older brown hatcher, or at least I have one that looks exactly like his! If you had something you didn’t know anything about, I’m not sure how you’d come across that exact test paint and think “Hey! That’s what this is.”
Any thoughts anyone? If this post doesn’t belong here, or this is already listed in here, let me know and I’ll pull it
January 1, 2019 at 5:44 am #1550857There recently was a Royal Citrine version 2 hatcher on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/WINDSTONE-EDITIONS-ROYAL-CITRINE-HATCHING-DRAGON-V2-TEST-PAINT-1/303005113384?hash=item468c831c28:g:XB8AAOSwFZZcHUU2
I think that the listing is ignorance rather than malice (someone looking for an item that is similar to the Windstone that they have). People often message the seller to give correct information. Sometimes the seller listens and sometimes he or she doesn’t. Reporting the listing to ebay is another option.
January 1, 2019 at 12:09 pm #1550875Yes!! Now I remember seeing him, I even thought about bidding on him. I knew I kept searching the web for a reason, but I was ignoring all the eBay ones because I thought it was the same listing showing up! 🙄 I’ve contacted him so I suppose we’ll see. Thank you so much, at least I have the exact same dragon (only older) so if he wants to see what a brown Hatcher looks like I can easily show him.
Thank you!
I think I’ll pull this in a bit, if it’s all accidental I’d have to seem to be posting him as a fruad!

Version 1 Hatcher is still up, I think.
Life is beautiful.
January 4, 2019 at 8:15 am #1551300I was looking at dragon cross-stich patterns on Amazon and found href=”https://smile.amazon.com/Amacok-Diamond-Painting-Embroidery-Multicolor/dp/B07GWMGK9B/ref=sr_1_34?ie=UTF8&qid=1546617815&sr=8-34&keywords=dragon+cross+stitch”>this . I’m not sure what the actual product is (apparently gluing rhinestones or fake gems on a pattern?) but I know that isn’t their picture.
ETA I don’t know how to fix the link, sorry.
January 4, 2019 at 8:42 am #1551301You’re right! Did you email John about this? john@windstoneeditions.com
January 4, 2019 at 8:49 am #1551302P.S. They seem to have stolen several designs by Anne Stokes also.
January 4, 2019 at 10:51 am #1551322Okay everyone I went in and tried –actually ordered this at Amazon but not paid for it. This is coming directly out of China.I saw this because of the delivery dates. It is not coming out of Amazon’s warehouse. China as most know steals all the artists work from everywhere in the world. I highly doubt that anything can be done about it because its China where anything goes so it would seem. They steal Nene Thomas,Josephine Wall and a few other Artist prints all the time–check ebay prints they are right there for anyone to buy. It is up to us to decide as collectors not to buy them because they are cheap knock-offs. But still some will buy them. I will not just for the fact that to me its like buying goods after someone stole them from someones home. To me its a artist personal creation and theirs and theirs alone to sell. Please I really hope no none calls the grammar police on me. I suck at explaining things. I own that. HA.

January 4, 2019 at 1:49 pm #1551343Can they be reported to Amazon and have Amazon kick them off their site?

Kickstarter 'Rainbow Tiger' Bantam Dragon*~*~*~* Ela_Hara: The DragonKeeper *~*~*~*
*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comJanuary 4, 2019 at 2:37 pm #1551347I doubt that they will toss them off of Amazon. Like ebay as long as that company is making money for them its fine. You cannot go after them because they are not the distributors. China is and they don’t adhere to USA patents or anyone else’s art or technology. They are in fact the biggest thief’s on everything that comes out of there. Its just a fact. I knew sooner or later they would hit yet another artists art. The good thing is as far as Melody’s figurines most of them are to heavy to ship here even if they made them there. So I think that is a big plus. We as collectors don’t want that fake stuff with the lead paint on our walls or as a figurine either. No thanks I will by my windstones here where I know its the real thing. HA.
