I think it’s the angle of the picture. The wings match the pictures that I have of my old mother pegasus. It just looks either very dirty or air brushed with an awful grey colour.
September 5, 2008 at 6:41 pm #708499That’s a mother pegasus and I believe the faiy is from the Farie Glen line.
September 6, 2008 at 8:07 pm #708500Agreed- it’s a Windstone mother pegasus. Did someone send it to John?

My art: featherdust.comSeptember 7, 2008 at 5:54 pm #708503Would you guys consider this a ripoff? My first thought was yes, but when I compared it with Windstones Cat Gargoyle, it was more different than I thought. What do you think?
September 7, 2008 at 6:20 pm #708504Looks awfully close to me… 🙄 I’ll send John a message.
September 7, 2008 at 8:15 pm #708505Did you guys send the pegasus print and the cat gargoyle to John?
Definitly copy infringment 😡September 7, 2008 at 8:16 pm #708506I sent the cat to him…
September 21, 2008 at 3:57 am #708507I’m not sure if this will be much help to the factory but I took a cruise to cabo last weekend and while i was down there in one of the shops they had a bunch of black and white sculptures cast in some sort of plasterish material, it looked kind of grainy like wood but it wasn’t, but lo and behold amongst horses and religious idols is a remake of the male dragon. It was clearly recarved by someone to make a model they could do castings with but it was definantly to close a resemlence to the male dragon to be someones original work. I asked the people working there who was the company they got them from but no one would answer my question really. They didn’t have anything on the bottom to say who made them but i think they had a sticker saying they came from china or something like that. Not sure if this is helpful at all but just thought I would give the heads up.

Did you get pictures of it?
Also do you have the co-ordinates of the store?
Those would help. 😉September 22, 2008 at 3:13 am #708509I didn’t get any pictures of it but there is no doubt that it’s a knock off. If you were familiar with the port of Cabo I could tell you that it is a big building right next to the docks that has many little booths in it and one of the booths was selling these sculptures.
September 27, 2008 at 6:57 pm #708510I noticed a bunch of these floating around on eBay and thought that they looked familiar. The one kinda has the same pose as the hatching empress. Since there were many listings I just got the number for each.

230274750001

No idea who the maker is though.
now the empress…
Also the coloring looks very similar to the windstones, right down to the jewel in the forehead.Emailing John next.
September 27, 2008 at 7:14 pm #708511These also look suspicious:
item # 180292746489
Pose is very similar to that of a young dragon, right done to the scale pattern.
Not to sure about this one though. Same maker/seller as above. The one on the left looks similar to the male, except for the front claw.
Item # 180292746437.
Already emailed John.
I’m currently jobless so I figured I make myself usefull! 🙄September 28, 2008 at 1:35 am #708512😯 😯 I haven’t seen those before! Good catch!
