Thanks for spotting this. I have contacted the seller and eBay. It is an infringement from many years ago. I think they came in from Mexico and we sued the importer.
June 10, 2012 at 12:59 pm #881624I just emailed john this link….
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WINDSTONE-M-PENA-EDITIONS-BLACK-GOLD-MOTHER-SLEEPING-DRAGON-/180893795292?pt=UK_Collectables_AnimalCollectables_SM&hash=item2a1e1c43dcThis dragon gave me nightmares.
Unfortunately, they managed to sell it anyway. Guess they waited for us to lose interest: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180895846823
June 10, 2012 at 1:32 pm #881625I am really not sure bout this one–but the paint ‘accents’ just seem off, the dragon has no felt bottom, and although the base has ‘Windstone Editions’, it lacks both the logo and the location (I know I read somehwere that the very first ones had no felt bottom?).
Anyway, it’s a private sale–owner states they’ve had it for 27 years–but might be worth looking into?
(and if I’m wrong, and that’s how they looked way back when, well then, an education for me! 🙂 )
June 11, 2012 at 6:03 am #881655I think that one might be real, just very old, and not well painted.
July 16, 2012 at 4:08 pm #883318🙁 There’s another counterfeit Windstone on Ebay again. The seller even admits that it’s a fake!

Susie told me today that this is a real windstone gargoyle egg, but one that has been kept outdoors.

July 29, 2012 at 4:57 pm #883777Please see this item number at eBay 320734063271 I sure hope Windstone is getting some kind of compensation for them using this in the address labels.
Just in case you are not. I just thought I would bring this to your attention.

August 8, 2012 at 12:42 am #884311Yeah I would e-mail that one to John, I doubt the e-bay seller asked. They probably found the image online & just started using it. Because they don’t say anything about the image being a Windstone. Here is the link to what windstonefan is talking about http://www.ebay.com/itm/320734063271;jsessionid=5E6B555AEB1F120F995F9D0A46481D5E?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D320734063271%26_rdc%3D1#ht_2533wt_1141
