I got mine! Flamingdragon painted me a bone-type dragon – my swap pieces are all black/white/grey, and this one will fit perfectly with all his friends once we’ve moved (the others are packed). The pics are making him seem whiter than he is.
He came with a psychedelic fuzzy too 😀
I love how the accents are white instead of black – it’s a really nice contrasting touch. Thanks, Tara!
Glad you like him! Not using color for me was a challenge. I don’t even own a bottle of grey paint. Most black an white schemes I could think of had a hint of red or yellow. After thinking about to do for a while and not coming up with anything, I spontaneously grabbed him off the shelf and antiqued him with black. Gypsum colored accents rather than black just seemed right so I color matched some paint for the accents. He seemed to like how he was painted cause he declined every other idea I came up with to fancy him up. You need to watch that one, he’s an opinionated one. He had a better idea of what he wanted than I did 😀 . Though he did refuse to tell me his name 🙁
(his eyes are metallic periwinkle for those who can’t tell by the picture)
March 24, 2013 at 12:40 am #895067I recieved mine from Fact Fox yesterday. She also sent Darrien a beautiful crystal! I will post picture of him and the one I did for Wolflodge later tonight.
March 24, 2013 at 5:55 am #895092Thanks Kiya, I’m so glad you like him! He was fun to do.
Unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of him, my camera situation is a bit tricky.
I recieved my swap piece this evening, a lovely Nebula wolf from Dragonfeathers! He’s painted in rich, dark shades of burgundy and purple, with blue interference, white stars and subtle streaks of red. He’s gorgeous, thank you!
Dragonfeathers, er, due to the aforementioned camera issues, do you have pics?
March 24, 2013 at 1:17 pm #895101Woohoo! I’m so glad you like him. Everything I did was an experiment this time around in an effort to improve my pyo results. I learned a lot and I worked hard to give you my best. He’s not perfect, but I am pleased with the way he turned out, even if he looks nothing like I planned! I have some pics I can put up when I’m not on my phone. You’re right, the interference hides from the camera, though.

March 24, 2013 at 7:31 pm #895114These are all great so far! So exciting >.<
March 24, 2013 at 9:53 pm #895117I absolutely adore him! Outstanding job! He deserves the plethora of photos we both just posted, its just a shame none of them truly do him justice!
March 24, 2013 at 9:58 pm #895090I finally got to open mine just now and he is SO GORGEOUS! He’s a secret keeper painted by ghostndragon in a scheme she calls “golden mahogany pearl”. He is shades of browns/tans/pearl with a fine layer of gold interference all over & holding a ring of what appears to be lapis, golden coral, and I think wood beads (its hard to see the interference in the photos though). I can’t express how much I love his colors and what he’s holding! (right now he is sitting with my family of lavender dragons and you wouldn’t believe how well they compliment each other!).
I’m sorry for the delay in letting you know I’d gotten him ghostndragon! He did arrive yesterday but he came while I was at work, so my apartment manager had him and I didn’t get home to claim him before they closed yesterday; and today I was able to pick him up first thing, but didn’t have time to open him until just now. He’s been riding around in the car with me all day while I went to all my appointments and errands, just driving me absolutely crazy with anticipation, but he was definetly worth the wait!
I’m still not good at posting photos, but dragonmedley said she’d help me figure it out. 🙂 So I will post something as soon as I can! Meanwhile, if you want to go ahead and post photos please feel free!
Meanwhile I can’t thank you enough! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I really am head over heels in love with him!
*EDIT* Added photos: they are indoor since I took them at night, and now today its too overcast to get decent outdoor photos. A huge Thank You to Dragonmedley for helping me post these!
