What is the gestation time needed to hatch a poad egg?
tdm 🙂
1135 hours.
July 16, 2013 at 4:51 am #900156When a poad egg is not being brooded but needs a snuggle does it usually follow it’s mama around or will any broody poad do? and can and do poads brood more than one egg at a time? Can they have a very young offspring and brood an egg at the same time? Is that what makes adult poads grouchy?

July 16, 2013 at 11:18 pm #900227A poad can brood any number of eggs at a time in their pouch. A poads pouch is astonishingly roomy.
The babies prefer to be loose in a communal nest under a clutter of broody poads.
Poad eggs have another unusual property, in addition to exploding and rolling after the adult poads. Each egg can be in two places at once, so the same egg may be in the process of being brooded in a warm pouch, while at the same time it is also rolling along after the adults.

can practically “taste the rainbow!”
July 18, 2013 at 12:32 am #900305Can people help brood poad eggs? For instance, if Kade’s poad were to go broody and they were traveling could Kade help especially if the egg were in two different places at the same time? Could the egg get curious about what might be ahead of them on their journey and take off to do it’s own exploring while being brooded by Kade or his poad?

Yes, they could be brooded by a person,or some other creature, but the only way to do that would be to hold them in your mouth like a jaw breaker.
July 18, 2013 at 12:53 am #900310Well, i guess that wouldn’t work for me ’cause i talk too much. I’d also be afraid of swallowing the darn thing! Could or would the egg go exploring on it’s own?

July 21, 2013 at 1:23 am #900451So, if a poad egg can be in two places at once but in only one place after they hatch, do the eggs that are in two seperate places at the same time it hatches produce the empty, exploding eggs?
twindragonsmum 🙂

July 21, 2013 at 9:23 pm #900470Hmmm… I have some questions, too.
What colour re Poad eggs?
Are they whitish like “normal” eggs, speckled, or coloured to indicate the colour of the Poad inside?
Can the eggs camouflage themselves when they are two places at once so humans just think they blend into the background? Thanks.
Life is beautiful.

I have only seen one, and it is whiteish. Not sure what color all of the others are though.

There would be an empty cracked-open shell, just like it is whereever else it is at the same time.
July 22, 2013 at 2:22 pm #900505Ethan wants to know if the poad can decide which egg it wants to hatch out of. When the egg is in two different places does the poad decide where it wants to hatch?

They hatch in the place that is the warmest and softest… Think about that if you are going around with a poad egg in your mouth
