June 4, 2008 at 9:44 pm #596192Oh, I really like this one too.
June 4, 2008 at 9:51 pm #596193Well they are both up for offers for a few days in the flea market. 😉
December 14, 2008 at 5:44 pm #596194Wow it’s been a while since I had anything to add to this thread. Of course moving this summer had nothing to do with it at all.
I have one finished ki-rin. I’m thinking of calling it “Autumn Ashes”. It fades from a purplish red to an orangey red on the scales. I’m happy with the blending on it, but was originally wanting the transition to be faster so I could get to a more yellowy orange. I’ll get the hang of bending yet.
And then I have an almost finished dragon for my brother in law. Last time he was photographed he only had the blue on his wings, belly and tail ridge. He needs to be sealed and then I’m debating antiguing him in a navy blue.
I also am working on a wolf and a unicorn. The pictures of the wolf were slightly fuzzy and the unicorn got stripped back down so she’s nekkid right now. The wolf is kind of a grey husky looking dude that I have to figure out how to do a scar through one eye on. The unicorn is going to be a black blanket appaloosa with a sock and a blaze. I figured out an easy way to do the spots on the blanet…splatter paint them! It worked well too, before I goofed up and had to strip the paint.
December 14, 2008 at 6:06 pm #596195I would antique the dragon.
Nice effect on the kirin!

December 15, 2008 at 6:59 pm #596199I agree 😉 . Navy blue would really make those scales pop!
Love the colors on the dragon, and the kirin’s scales look really cool 🙂 .December 17, 2008 at 10:22 pm #596200As usual, I’m always impressed with your antiquing. I’m never able to get a sufficient amount of antique to stay on the Ki-Rin’s face. >.<
December 22, 2008 at 2:32 am #596201Finished up the dragon for my brother in law.
He also wanted a wolf.
My future sister in law asked for a unicorn.
December 22, 2008 at 4:25 am #596202I like all three of them… I was planning on Xmassing PYO’s but only one got out. *shrugs* I need to paint some more but I’ve just… not been in the mood.
December 22, 2008 at 5:12 am #596203Ooooh, great job! The Unicorn is lovely, but I especially like the wolf. Very nice! 🙂
December 22, 2008 at 5:15 am #596204I really like the wolf too.
