😆 That’s almost how much it’ll cost to get the BEP OW to me over here. Why would anybody want to pay that much just so they miss four days of looking forward to getting the dragon?
And besides, I wouldn’t call the white male “colorful”, even if he is pearlescent.

To me, the worst about these types of scams is that those sellers seem to think that buyers are all stupid and cannot do any checking on their own 😡

I don’t really mind a seller trying to get a few more dollars on the shipping, I’ll just call it a handling fee and be fine with it, but some of these sellers just get greedy. It probably makes no difference in the end, since the items do end up selling, but I refuse to bid on an item when I feel I’m being cheated!

I agree. On E-Bay, anything pops up again. If you don’t want to support a greedy seller, that’s your right. And if somebody else doesn’t see fit to inform himself first and pay too much, that’s his problem.

heh heh reminds me of the time i was looking for a soccer shirt (for Holland) on ebay and noticed this really cheap shirt for about 4 pounds – wow i thought! Then i looked at the charge for shipping – 30 pounds! LOL I emailed the guy “look, there is no way it costs 30 pounds to mail one shirt from the UK to Canada, i get you want to make a profit and avoid ebay fees but let’s work out a deal” and the reply was “my shipping fees are set, no exceptions” *chuckle* I said to myself “FINE THEN!” and kept searching

When the seller listed the auctions, they listed several different types of shipping options since it’s so close to Christmas. Those prices may be a little high but I don’t think they qualify as a scam. Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see the different shipping options and prices. The seller was probably just trying to be nice and offer express shipping (which IS hella expensive) in case someone wanted to get the piece in time to give as a gift! 🙂

The shipping on the rainbow emperor does seem a little too steep though. Perhaps the seller made a mistake entering the weight, or has another reason.

That’s putting the best construction on everything, Nambroth. But either way, if somebody doesn’t want to pay that shipping, there’s no reason for them to bid.
