Progress!
The sushi cat is coming along really well and has taken priority since it’s a commission. I’ve been working a little bit on the oriental dragon and it should be done relatively soon.

The first PYO of the year has been completed! Presenting Sacred Sandstone!
It was stained using tea which helped cut down on time greatly. I really like how it came out and will do more tea staining once my current WIP group gets whittled down a bit.
Most of the body is coated with a super matte varnish with some larger accent pieces getting a gloss varnish for a little more pizzaz.

Sacred Sandstone has been sold pending payment but I’m absolutely open to making something similar (with the same or a different sculpt) if anyone is super smitten with the piece.
The sushi cat is done! Presenting Sakura Tiger!
This is my third Sushi Cat and there is a very noticeable difference in skill between this one and my previous one. The sculpt seems to be a good indicator of skill level for me.
Sakura Tiger is a commission piece and will be sent out to its commissioner in a few days.
The sushi kitty is adorable – I’m particularly drawn to the headband, for some reason! Very sparkly and elegant.
Love Sandstone’s colors! I might have to commission that on something; the hard part will be making up my mind about which sculpt. 🙂
