When we were younger, my brother and I would sit at our windows and watch the ‘Light Show’ outside at the height of Lightning/Thunder Storms – it was like the 4th of July for us! Of course our Mom would always tell us to keep away from the windows, that we might be struck! Old Wives Tale? I don’t know.
I’m memorized by Lightning/Thunder storms and love to watch the Thunder clouds come boiling in the sky and all the grey-green colors, the sudden coolness as the temperature drops and the wind picks up. The Lightning is always the highlight of the show. Of course it is also Very Very Scary when the Lightning and Thunder Claps are right on top of you or when something actually gets struck directly outside your house! At those times my skin crawls and I unconsciously duck – better than any Horror movie you can think of!

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.After H.Katrina hit us, Biloxi looked like a war zone.Boats were in trees,casino barges shoved up on shore blocks away from where they were moored.No streets at all because of debris, vehicles and broken homes all displaced on top of each other.So many people lost everything.So much loss for miles.Nothing to play chicken with with.We were not able to evacuate but was fortunate to be in a “sweet spot” and across the bay from Biloxi proper. Surreal I promise you that and will forever be burned into my memory.

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.Ah, I have an aunt near Biloxi and she told us about it. I remember Charlie a few years back. I was out of state for Andrew but you can still see the scars. This place is far enough north to have missed the worst of Irma, I was in the Keys a couple months before and it was hard recognizing some of the places. Praying for the folks in the Carolinas and Mid Atlantic, and those inland that’ll get all the rain.
We did get hit hard by the ’98 tornadoes, F0 and 1 tornadoes are very common here but those were 5s which we never get. It looked like we’d been bombed, trucks twisted like pretzels in the poles that were originally treetops, buildings relocated a mile… we lost one of our horses.
Everyone on the East Coast who will be affected by Hurrican Florence, please stay as safe as possible!

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.We live 20 minutes from Atlantic Beach and our county was evacuated today. I don’t usually post but please pray for those staying to stay safe. My 5 children and I made it to VA but had to leave our new home behind with many many belongings. My husband will hopefully join us tomorrow. And of course Windstones are not essential so I could only bring some. The others I have packed tightly in a dresser hoping they will make it. I know I have what is important but it breaks my heart to see our home possibly get destroyed. My daughters birthday is in four days and there was no room for her presents. I’m just devastated 😢
