My emerald Scratcher is a darker green and doesn’t have any gold on his face. This one is nice, but I like mine better. 🙂

Was this color variation officially called Jade?

Meoldy has referred to it as jade, but officially there’s no difference between jade and emerald.

(The orientals, for example, are all called “jade” and seem to be a 50/50 if you get actual dark jade, or the lighter emerald color, while the scratchers are all officially “emerald.”)

The hatching empress looks like it is jade too for some reason. First I thought it was the picture, but you would be able to really tell with it so close to the scratcher if it was emerald. Don’t you think???

Yes, the hatching empress is mine too..I mean…is Jade too 😈

I’m so going after it though! I just got my peacock hatching Empress in the mail yesterday and WOW SHE IS HUGE!! I thought she’d be roughly the same size as the regular hatchers. I now aspire to get her in every color except white.

So she is coming to Houston!
Unless Nirvana wants her 😥
