Very early this morning I bought a Tiger kitten and a Puffin kitten in a lot on eBay, with a BIN of $5. They were so cute… at that price, I couldn’t not buy them!
Ahh so you snagged them… 😀 I saw them and emailed the seller but by the time they replied and I went back to them they were gone… 🙄 I was hopeing someone on here got them… 😉

What Dragon is that on the very top far right side ? It’s taller than the Windstone Emperor..so I don’t think I’ve seen it before.. 😉
January 31, 2009 at 1:22 pm #684009That is my very first attempt to paint a dragon…it was a ceramic that I found in a wild little shop in Myrtle Beach, SC…bought it, brought it home and it sat there for two years before I was ready to paint it…did’nt come out to bad, used a dry rub technique, could have used more color on the belly…but once it was fired, your done, 😀 It is just a bit taller than my Emp due to the wings and it is sitting where my Rising White Spec. is going when it arrives, and I am patiently waiting… 🙄 🙄
I will post a better picture of that big blue rascal. It is a pretty boy!
This is my second attempt to paint a dragon…It is an incense burner that I use as a wall sconce…I am working up the nerve to do a Windstone PYO…
January 31, 2009 at 1:27 pm #684010My headboard does not show off my OW so here is his picture he is on the bottom right behind glass…only had him about 3 months…
I need a bigger headboard! XD

It looks like an Ice Dragon…nice job ! I wouldn’t mind seeing a windstone with that combination of white and blue.. 😉 We’ve made yearly trips to Myrtle Beach but I have the hardest time finding something to suit my interests..this last time was pretty awful..couldn’t find a thing a wanted..I think only Wolf Creek Gallery carried Windstone and they didn’t have any pieces I wanted at the time..Dragons in general weren’t easy to come by unless you wanted junk..I did find some nice wood carvings in Black Market Minerals for friends though. Things are changing so much over there right now..I’m not sure I want to go back this year..I mean I’ve just about done everything I wanted to do..except Dragon’s Lair Golf..not sure if that’s a reason though..lol 😀
I’d also like to see some pics of your white Spec when you get it in… that was the first color I thought to get myself…a nice ghostly dragon.. 😀

February 4, 2009 at 1:24 am #684015Eee!! I finally get to post something! I got some b-day money reciently and of course knew just where it was going to go, just not WHAT it was going to go to-lol I settled on the male and mother black sunset griffins cause I had the two babies, now I have a whole family! They were very excited to get out of the box and meet their kids-hehe.
My male griffy seems to have sustained a tiny paint rub on the tip of his ear in transit, what sort of paint could I use to fill that spot in? I don’t want to just use any old black before asking! My bigger consern is that he seems to have gotten some sort of paint rub on his beak, it’s about 1 cm long, like a pen mark? It’s thin and I tried and tried, but it would not show up in a photograph. Is there anything I can try to remove it without ruining his beak? It’s not on his display side, but it would be nice to remove it since it’s pretty noticeable. One other tiny thing, there is a spot on the back of his right leg that didn’t get paint on it, could I use the same black that I touch up the ear with and just fill that bit in so it’s not noticeable? 😳
Other than that, I feel SO spoiled! They are just gorgeous and I can’t believe they are mine!! They are bigger than I thought they would be too! 😀 And they came with the most handsome blackish/greyish Fuzzy too!
February 4, 2009 at 1:44 am #684016The Black Sunset griffins just are so much better in person. I didn’t like them until the shop that buy from had them in stock. Now I have two. Congrats on your purchase!
