Blade, what color Sitting Spectral did you get?
He’s the new Peacock color..I already had a Scratcher in that one..but it was a really good deal so I went for it…seems there are only so many colors that reach the affordable or deal price for me… 😀
December 24, 2008 at 6:48 am #683943Congrats, Blades. Spectrals are really cool. 😉

Thanks ! I’m learning just how cool they are..and it’s further evidenced by your siggy..I love that green !
December 24, 2008 at 9:44 am #683945Yup, the Spring Green Riser is my prize Spectral! 😀
December 24, 2008 at 7:16 pm #683946See, I’d like to have more colors like that be available as general production…there just so diff from what’s already made, like the Emerald/Peacock they look so similar people confuse them a lot. The Spring Green can’t be confused with any other color.. it stands out so much ! 😉
December 25, 2008 at 5:30 am #683947Well, it is an artist’s edition and with more color variance than the production colors. I’m thinking it took more time to paint than a normal-colored Riser.
December 25, 2008 at 5:48 am #683948I wonder how much it would cost to make the production colors like that ? Surely the increase wouldn’t be so much more would it ?
December 25, 2008 at 8:15 am #683949You better ask Melody or Olimpia that personally. I don’t want to make any false claims here…
(If it’s possible, I’d be all for it. The artist’s editions look more natural than the production colors.)December 25, 2008 at 10:22 am #683950Greater Basilisk wrote:You better ask Melody or Olimpia that personally. I don’t want to make any false claims here…
(If it’s possible, I’d be all for it. The artist’s editions look more natural than the production colors.)I might have to..after looking at the artist’s editions I’m beginning to see just how much more detail is possible..not that the current editions aren’t beautiful..but what that extra bit of paint brings out.. 😮 and I’d hate to think we could be getting it in regular editions for a few dollars more you know ?
December 25, 2008 at 5:57 pm #683951December 26, 2008 at 12:21 am #683952That could be why… but say someone was willing to pay for it..perhaps that could be an option ?
I don’t know..I’m just so impressedwith these..it’s prob not even an option because it would de-value already made pieces.
December 26, 2008 at 5:57 am #683953I doubt it would devalue existing color schemes. A regular production Riser costs $272; any run of an artist’s edition color would be priced very much higher.
E-Bay is cool because there are always new colors on there. (Okay, on the Spectrals all the special colors have been OOAK and accordingly expensive, but still.)December 26, 2008 at 4:52 pm #683954Blade-of-the-Moon wrote:That could be why… but say someone was willing to pay for it..perhaps that could be an option ?

That would be like special ordering a Windstone!
Do you know how many different requests they would get???I was jsut thinking are we going to see anymore special Olympia pieces since Windstone has moved??
December 26, 2008 at 5:07 pm #683955Might be something to think about.. a lot of artists have made blank pieces oftheir work and have a dept set up to custom paint the pieces for those that can afford them. It may not be feasible now, but in the future.. you never know.
If it’s an issue of them being too far away I don’t think it will hurt…blanks can be shipped to her for painting and if sold she could ship them I guess.. wouldn’t be too hard I don’t think.
December 26, 2008 at 7:25 pm #683956I asked in the ask Melody section. I know it CAN be done it guess I was asking more if it WILL be done. Jennifer has been doing it for a long time. Olympia may be working somewhere else by now and not have the time/space to paint. Space since we always poainted at the old Factory
