I got the EmPea OW from emerald yesterday – thanks, em! – and now have 10 OWs and all production colors. EmPea is beautiful, though now that I see him in person I think a dash of purple really would finish the color scheme nicely. Photos to follow…

Doesn’t yours have purple? Or is it simply ‘not enough’ purple? Mine has too much purple. *Hmmmmmm…*

Our definitions of ‘a lot of’ purple may be different! Any purple is a lot to me- it’s not my favorite color. 😉 I’ll have to get a photo of him…

My art: featherdust.comHere’s mine! I do like him, and honestly he doesn’t have too much purple… it’s just I don’t like where the purple is. Does that make any sense? I don’t like it on his snout, for example. I will admit- and this was my mistake- I fell in love with the prototype Emerald Peacock OWs that got auctioned off and in my head he looked more like one of those. The production ones are kinda ‘blend-y’ for me, I liked the contrasts on the eBayed ones.

(EDIT: I noticed these photos look fairly saturated… they were taken in diffused natural light, no flash, no unnatural lighting. His purple areas are definitely purple, not indigo-blue).
(Sorry for the mess in the background… boxes have been my life since December, sadly. This guy has lived in his box since the day I got him- he’s only been out twice… once when I got him to look him over, and then just now for his photos.)

wow Nam look at all the purple on yours! squee! i’ve never seen one look like that except for the special 10! wow! cool! lol! he does have a very grapey nose, like he was eating grape jelly out of the jar. no one would suspect it was that dignified old man who ate all the jelly…..
I wish they would put more purple/violet on the ema peas. I just don’t like them with the dark blue they have on them now. They just don’t pop like the violet ones do.

I have a question tho…how do you make the photos appear so big in the thread, mine are always so small?In your case, you just have to delete “.th” near the end of the link (but keep the “.jpg”). That’s the part that tells it to show the thumbnail view instead of the full picture. 😉

WHOO HOO! Happy Dance! Happy Dance! 😆 My Peacock mother and spectral dragons just arrived today! And they’re in perfect shape; they survived the trip. (WHEW!) Now I’m just waiting on my Peacock hatchling, and the special painted red fire OW. He should be here by next week. (looking wistfully at the mailbox…)
