AWWW I love the Thunderbolt!!/A10/Warthog/Tank Buster lol!! I was at the huge airday and they said they earned the name Warthog because everyone said they are sooooo ugly! I was the only person standing there shouting at how lovely i think they are. 8)
I bet everyone else wonders what on earth we are on about! π
You can keep you B-52 and that Stealth bomber, the Avro Vulcan is an all time fantastic bird! AND SHE IS GOING TO BE FLYING AGAIN SOON!! *SQUEEEEEEEK*
Sorry a little excited! πMay 8, 2007 at 6:30 pm #571325You know what else is cool? The SR71. They were just PRETTY! Too bad it leaked aviation fuel like a sieve until it got up to speed! π I’ll miss them.
I build a model A10 a while ago. They’re magnificent things! My family used to watch them do maneuvers on the deck in the foothills where I grew up.

May 8, 2007 at 8:37 pm #571327To a previous topic hijacking, my own personal feelings on Gun control is that it woulod be far more efficient to have to get a “Classical” Liscence to own one, you know like a drivers liscense it includes the theory that you have to know what you’re doing to get certain classifications of weapons. But then again we all know someone who’s gotten their drivers lisencese from a cracker jack box!!
As for hobbies, between Work, this forum, and World of Warcrack I don’t have much time for anything anymore!! Just a little bit of time to idly search for a house for my mom to buy for my me π

That’d be me! I accidentally broke the system, and never had to do a driving test for my license… that’s a long story though! π

My art: featherdust.comMay 8, 2007 at 9:10 pm #571329Nam did you have the situation with the officer who was going to give you the test remembering having a car rolled his foot before the tests? π My mom did that 3 months before she was even old enough to get her learners, so when she went in he got rid of her as quick as he could!! and he remembered that almost 30 years later when I took my test!! π I still think I should have failed, but he was worried he’d have to see me and my Mom again!!
May 8, 2007 at 11:05 pm #571330Nope. I had a learner’s permit in NY. I moved to TX and got the learner’s permit changed to a TX learner’s permit.. then when I moved back to NY I went to have it changed again… but the lady was very angry with life and told me that I couldn’t get a TX permit changed to a NY one (even though I had lived in NY for 19 years?) and that I had to take the written exam and present a million pieces of evidence to my identity.. etc. Well I went home and the next day went back with my evidence and thinking I would have to take the written test, just for the permit (not the license). It was a different lady at the DMV and she looked at my permit from TX, and told me it was a license. I politely explained to her that it was a permit. She insisted it was a license (in TX permits ARE licenses, but they have the exemption of ‘licensed driver over 18 in front seat’- basically, a permit. Well she said she had to give me a license… so I have a full driver’s license now! And I never took an official driving test!
To be fair, I took an 80 hour driver’s ed course and scored 100 on my practice driving test so.. π

I think the funniest part was I was gently arguing with the lady, trying to be honest about it, and she told me no! π I tried to do the right thing!
