He reminds me of some of the dino illustrations with the striping (I’ve been wanting to do a “dino” one).

This guy was actually somewhat of an accident – I was playing with the metallic paints and then wondered what I could do for detail on top of it when my boyfriend suggested practicing striping because I’m going to be doing a Velociraptor Keeper soon for Griffinlover 🙂 I’m so glad that I took his advice!! I think in between working on my next few commissions I’ll probably be painting a small dragon in this same type of scheme, maybe with different metallic paint colors 🙂

I mentioned it a few months back that I was going to tr one like an alligator and finally got a keeper to work on.Haven’t had the time lately though,have to get back on it.The face and the stripes down the tail are real close to yours and I will not post pics because of unnecesarilly crude comments some people put out there in their opinions but they are close to the same pattern just so you know.I think the gator and lizard colors and patterns makes them look very realistic.Congrats to the new owner 🙂Every act matters.No matter how small💞

I just finished a unicorn today which is awaiting eyes before I can post pictures of her, and then I painted a small dragon with metallics and the same type of stripes as Gun has. He’s just as big of a pain to photograph so here are some duller ones until we get a sunny day here..
He’s got metallic teal eyes, a bluegreen Swarovski gem in his tail and a jet black Swarovski gem in his forehead. His name is Patina. Yes, I’m aware it doesn’t quite fit.. but YOU try to name that dragon with one word!! XD My boyfriend and I were thinking about it for at least an hour and finally just decided since he’s got copper and some bluegreen on him, his name would be Patina 🙂
I included a flash photo of him because the colors look closest to how they look in real life with a flash, but unfortunately come out worse in every other way ><

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!🙂 Thanks for the understanding of my statement Hannah 🙂 It was ment in the spirit of which you took it.They do look similar but that is all.I don’t have the orange or silver coloring but I do have the blackish stripes on greenish yellow for my pattern but right now it is hard to get the right color on the underside for me for a gator.You did a good resmblance of the Dino.I think some of the Tropical fish colors would make for some interesting PYOs too. 😉
The little dragon is very cool.I think your “Egyptian”theme has been your best to date,WITH the exception of “Cloud” WOW!,in my opinion.I would like to see you do more along that line. :bigsmile:Every act matters.No matter how small💞

I wanted to try out these metallic paints so I got these last two out pretty quickly! Also, I wanted to practice stripes so I’d have them down enough for when I do the Velociraptor Keeper for Griffinlover 🙂 I can’t wait to see your aligator Keeper!!
