This one is an adaptation of the Mandala Unicorn, a commission from a forum member. She liked the siamese coloring of the unicorn but not necessarily the mandala design. I added a bit of extra shading and also some dapples on the rump. His mane and tail have been coated with a thin layer of gold interference and also antiqued to define each strand of hair. He has a matte finish but his mane, tail, and hooves have been glossed. He has metallic medium blue eyes and is adorned with swarovski crystals in clear and light blue.
I’m calling this one simply “Siamese with Dapples”

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.May 14, 2011 at 2:02 am #845271I just finished this commission earlier this evening for a forum member! His scheme was lifted from a piece I did late last year called the “Cloud” Phoenix. Although I don’t own a Cloud Phoenix anymore, I did my best to recreate the scheme. He is definitely a bit darker, and more brown, but he’s a dragon so he’s bound to look a little more rough and tumble, right? 😀
For whatever reason this guy was a giant pain! I’m really happy with how he came out, but it boggles my mind knowing how hard he was to get there. Something about this particular blue and this particular brown just didn’t want to work with me, and he required a lot of layering of paints to make the colors the proper richness.
He has metallic teal eyes and an aquamarine colored Swarovski crystal in his tail. His wings are a little celestial in order to mimic the rock that the original phoenix was standing on 🙂
I was excited to share him so the pics are indoor, I’ll get some outdoor ones tomorrow that no doubt will make the colors look richer 🙂
Major props to drag0nfeathers who helped me figure out how to place the color on many of the scales 🙂
