January 6, 2015 at 6:03 pm #923906Thank you Kay and Meow! 😀 And trust me Meowmix – it took me a long time to get my painting technique down! I use many layers of paint to get the nice smooth transition to work 🙂

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!January 25, 2015 at 9:57 pm #924601Here’s a couple of pieces that I’ve finished recently, in between waiting for other pieces to dry 🙂
This dragon is painted in the same colors as the “Fire” Phoenix, so I named him “Fire” also. He has a red Swarovski gem in his forehead and Metallic Gold eyes. He was done as a gift for a friend around Christmas.
I am calling this one “Deep Ocean”. He is painted in metallic and semi-metallic paints, given details in interference Pearl and metallic Pearl paints. He has a Swarovski crystal in his tail in “Moonlit”, which is bascially a clear gem with a slight bluish glow. His eyes are Metallic Teal. He has some filigree done on his horns in interference Pearl that is mostly visible in indirect light. I’ve been working on him in between working on other pieces, and he’s finally done 🙂 He will be for sale in the classifieds – please PM me if you’re interested!

These last pics were taken indoors, before he got his topcoat or his gem installed.

January 25, 2015 at 11:13 pm #924609I love both, but Fire is particularly spectacular! They’re both amazing.

January 26, 2015 at 12:46 am #924614OMG I want that Deep Ocean keeper! He is gorgeous. The way all the colors blend so seamlessly is awesome.
Love baby kirins, safari poads, mini keepers, and anything BLUE, BLUE, and, oh yes, BLUE.
January 26, 2015 at 1:04 am #924615Thank you so much Etruscan, Stormbreeze and MandBsMom! 😀
My favorite part of the Keeper (besides his colors) is definitely the horns 🙂

Which is odd because NORMALLY I like blues and greens more. His gradation from dark black to warm lighter colors is really nice. And I really dig the lighter markings on his flanks. Really nice work with the gold markings. And the golden eyes are such a nice choice. Usually with red dragons I end up seeing yellow, red or orange eyes. Gold really makes him look like he’s hot on the inside as well as the outside! 😀
