I’m usually pretty patient (really!) when it comes to waiting for grab bags to arrive, but the tracking info on my wolf is just ridiculous. It went from Portland, to Los Angeles, to Toronto, then BACK to Los Angeles (???), then on to Louisville, then Hamilton, then Toronto again. It is finally in Canada Customs. 😛 Seriously, what the heck? I think maybe my wolf got scared of the cold weather in Toronto and tried to escape back to LA. 😉
But on a positive note, everyone’s wolves look amazing!
I’m glad you are patient. I’m not. 🙁
My latest package has gone from Corvallis to Portland (so far normal), from there to Pennsylvania (Huh? This is new!), and then on to Chicago (also new). At least the box is making it’s way north. I know from previous purchases from other sellers in the USA that once packages leave Chicago, they really are pretty close to coming home to me. I just hope that the box doesn’t get stuck for a week in customs as just happened with another package.
I am enjoying seeing the wolves and foxes that have been shown so far. I did get a wolf on Monday, a lovely black husky, but I’m waiting for everyone to arrive before I post pictures.
**Edit** two packages left Corvallis. Same day, essentially the same time. Both went to Portland and on to Pennsylvania. One was routed to Chicago, the other to New York. Does USPS have any logic at all?
Life is beautiful.

There are supposed to be two packages heading to my house (mine and my mother’s), shipped at the same time from Windstone. And guess what! They have taken separate routes to get to the same address, just like yours, Scathach. I have to wonder what has happened that USPS’s routing has gone so screwball lately. I don’t recall this happening before, or at least not to this extent.
Now I just hope that Customs passes our wolves through quickly and without tax and duty.
February 18, 2015 at 10:26 pm #925949I ordered a second wolf when Windstone lifted the limit, and my second wolf apparently decided to tour the country before coming home. Last I checked tracking he went from Oregon to Maryland (I guess he wanted to see all the snow out east) where’s he’s been stuck for days. I paid for Priority Mail 2-day & he was supposed to be delivered Saturday, but he’s still in Maryland with no update on estimated delivery. Isn’t it great that USPS charges extra for Priority Mail delivery services! :((
You’re lucky – my first Wolfie is still playing around in all the snow in Maryland! I hope he gets delivered Wednesday, he didn’t make it here yet. It’s been nice looking at all of everyone’s lovelies though… 🙂
I can’t figure out why they sent them out to Maryland, when there’s more direct routes that didn’t get the heavy snows. I suspect the snows are part of the delays but there’s really no reason they should’ve went from OR to MD instead of local sort facilities. We weren’t having snows here, just brutal cold which shouldn’t affect deliveries.
My tracking finally got updated today & wolfie maded it to Illinois, so I’m hopeful I’ll see him today or tomorrow.
Hopefully you’ll soon see yours also
What’s worst is I live in the Maryland/DC area, so my Wolf AND Fox have been tooling around the area for the past four to five days. My Fox hasn’t made it in to my work address in DC, but has physically been in DC since 2/14; my Wolf is delivering to my house, so hopefully he’s there when I get home today. I’m sure the snow storms and the Pres Day Holiday has figured into this somehow, but they left OR on 2/9 and 2/10 respectively. Slow USPS! Priority Mail my ***!
Susie has been super nice about this, but I know that Windstone can’t do anything about the weather and delivery vendors.IN SEARCH OF MY NEXT GRAILS:

Pretty grey with gold eyes, taupe beige highlights on the ears, chest & rump. There are lots more wolves that I like more, so he’ll be up for trade.
February 19, 2015 at 8:17 am #925967Pretty wolves! That speckled one has lots of character! My box and my mom’s luckily stayed together on their journey and just arrived in Calgary at the same time a couple hours ago so looks like they will be at our house tomorrow or Fri. Yay! For those of you down east I hope your boxes arrive safe and sound soon too!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
February 19, 2015 at 10:11 pm #925987Yea! 😀
My Wolfie came in yesterday’s post! A nice creamy white with black spots/splashes! I have photos but didn’t get a chance to upload them yet – I’ll try to get them up tomorrow. I’m naming my Wolfie CeeCee (C.C.) because he reminds me of a favorite ice cream, ‘Chocolate Chip Swirl’ 🙂IN SEARCH OF MY NEXT GRAILS:

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comFebruary 20, 2015 at 12:53 pm #925998My mom and I got our boxes today but it took me a while to try and get and upload photos. The funny thing is it looks like we ordered 3 matching sets which is a total coincidence. The interesting thing is the red fox, red oddball fox and red wolf all came in one box and the grey and ivory foxes and wolves all came in another box. I did not expect that at all but it looks like we have 3 colour sets going that even go with my other pebbles.
I love the ivory fox and wolf and the greys and reds are pretty but I didn’t get any of the wolves I was hoping for so the two grab bag wolves and two oddball foxes will be up for trade for other colours or even other pebble foxes or grab bags like unicorns, poads or dragons. If you would like to keep a matching fox and wolf together I will look at trading them as sets or possibly selling as well. I am including a picture of the ones I was hoping for at the bottom. My favourite wolves are the light red ones, merles and the flame point Siamese one that would go with my bat eared fox. Also if anyone has a light red/blonde/palomino coloured wolf with blue eyes from the first batch, I would trade either wolf for one like that.
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
February 20, 2015 at 4:12 pm #926010My mother’s wolf (which became a late birthday gift to me, yay!) finally arrived yesterday. She is an absolutely gorgeous black and tan, like a really dark German shepherd. She’s in the first class photo, second row, second column. I would take pictures, but I’m waiting for my GB and ivory wolves to show up (today, I hope). I have named her Desert Wind, and I couldn’t be happier. She is exactly the sort of wolf that I was hoping to get. 😀

February 22, 2015 at 10:14 pm #926081I got mine. She is one of the pure white ones. I wouldn’t have gotten an ivory one if I had known! lol!
February 24, 2015 at 2:38 pm #926118So I FINALLY got both wolves together! 🙂 The black and tan wolf, Desert Wind, is definitely staying with me. The other wolf, who has a subtle LAVENDER blush, will be up for trade. I will try to take better photos of her, since I know she appears grey in the photos. Why does light purple seem to disappear in digital photos? I will have to figure out how to get Lavender’s true colours to show up on camera. Anyone got any photography tips?
