I know you’ve been busy dealing with the spammers, but I just noticed a lot of ads in the classifieds that have expired but are still showing.
Specifically, when I clicked on “Trading” and sorted by “KiRins”

Just so you and Lane know, it’s still wonky. The expired ads don’t show up when I click any of the three sections, but still show up when I’m sorting by type within a section.
As an example, “Trading” is ok with only the current items being displayed, but “Trading, Pebbles” has both the current and expired ads.
Thanks again. It’s certainly not world-ending, I just have to pay attention.

The expired ads also show up if you use the drop down menu to search for ads by author.

Yes, we are aware that there are still problems with the Classified ads. They will probably not be fixed during this next week either. Its a weird tangled problem. Please forgive this inconvenience.
I’m having a lot of trouble with the “Search” feature. Recently when I have tried to search I almost always get the message “The connection was reset … The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.” I thought that it was just my set-up, but apparently not.
I was updating the expiry date in my ad on the classifieds this morning and got error message “you’ve made an illegal choice, contact your system administrator”.
As it turns out, the “illegal choice” was that the system had negated my contact method and I had to reselect pm or email. This hasn’t ever happened before where the system didn’t carry everything forward when I updated the expiry date.
I’m still not getting the “half-time” warnings that my ad is about to expire, either. Sorry I f you don’t do that anymore and I missed the thread.

Scathach: I will make sure Lane sees this – When we last updated stuff on the website it messed with the Classified Ads and there are probably bugs that still haven’t been fixed. I know some things were fixed maybe last week – that may have messed up something else! sorry!

Its says there are 93 ads to view and all I can see is the 14 of them closest to running out of time. When I use the filters (I clicked on Grab Bags) I can see more, but I know I used to be able to just click on trading and be able to scroll through all the ads without having to apply filters.

Thank you, I know I had seen so many things mentioned here in the bugs with the ads. I wasn’t sure if this one had been and I didn’t read back through them all.
Yes, I had noticed that the using filter.. on the first page was mostly older ads. I wasn’t sure how many were expired and how many had just been left up by people from when the ad length was allowed to be set for months. lolLooking for:
