My attempt at a similar concept to Dragons and Beasties work. I am trying to learn different techniques and concepts to figure out things I could and would like to apply to my own kind of work, such as various ways of smoothing and different ways to create the same detail and affects. There are things I like about the way she does hers and things I don’t, meaning in the way I would apply those techniques to my own work.
The orb, the marshmallows and the blue one’s horns glow in the dark, and the both slightly shimmer. The glaze job on the green was not so nice, but I did it at 3:00 am. I couldn’t sleep and was attempting art. Always a bad combo for my me and my work..
The blue will be glazed today, and the blue will probably be for sale if anyone is interested. The green is in current debate. It was done for a freind being my first attempt at this, but now they are debating if they would rather me try and sell it, since they think it turned out really well, instead if anyone would want it. Don’t know on that yet. Let me know if anyone is interested.
UPDATED with better and post glaze pics

This is being worked on in Colors 3D on my 3DS. I started it a year ago and am finally working to finish it. This is my first digital painting. It is a pretty far stretch from traditional work. During the last ACEO swap, I tossed around the idea of finishing and printing it as an art card. as you can see that did not happen. Would still be cool to make like little prints to hand out to freinds and family thoiuhg..

I am doing a leopard. I don’t do pencil drawings as often as I should and I really jump around too much, but it is good to get back to the basics. I am trying to decide, IF it is good enough when done, if I should sell prints of it or just the original. I think I might just want to keep it, but I really can’t afford that is someone is willing for it..
here is my ref.

I will be be doing the icing tomorrow, but I am making decorative sugar eggs for a fun project. I will be giving one to the Pastor and his wife for Easter. They invited me to dinner on Easter so I didn’t have to be alone. And then today a Morpho griff showed up on my porch with a cute card and fuzzy, from Mary. Oh the little surprises in life! It is good to give back. Unfortunately, I will not be able to eat one. One of the gals in my support group mentioned that refined sugar is known to cause flare ups, and I am having this enough week.
It is surprisingly a TON of work. They are very fragile and crush easily before they harden. Just getting then out of the molds was annoying. I remolded the big one twice and I destroyed the first eight small eggs even after hardening for 3 and a half hours. Woops!

April 18, 2014 at 1:20 am #911663Kim: I got the male
others: I do not plan on eating them..They are more for decoration, but some people do like to eat them. Others will keep the fragile eggs for years as the sugar kinda forms a natural perservative..kinda. The egg is solid suger, the piping etc is royal iceing. This turned in to a much more difficult project than I intended. Turns out the icing is VERY, VERY finicky. Does not like any humidity, but not enough and it dries too fast. you have to be relly precise in your measurment and if you even get a teensy tiny bit og yoke in the whites, your whole batch is done for.
My gosh, 4 of my hours today have3 consisted of war against the mixing bowl!
and..now for the big ones! That was a little egg!
