Here is a clearer photo of mine for Hannah’s directory! I just couldn’t get her color to look right! Her eyes look very blue in this pic, but they’re actually metallic periwinkle. And the top of her head is purple that my camera washed away.
Anyway, I may have a trade pending on her, just waiting for more poads to arrive at their destinations! 🙂
Oh my gosh she is even MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN I IMAGINED. She is truly my dream poad!
Ugh, why can’t my poad hurry up! Hurry up! Tuesday! Or Wednesday morning, knowing our post office.
Auuugh the suspense is killing me!
January 6, 2013 at 1:34 pm #891294January 8, 2013 at 5:28 am #891395I am so glad there are those that love her! She really is pretty =) hopefully she will find a loving home soon
It never ceases to amaze me, but I’m starting to think that for every GB, there’s a “right” home. Yes, there are some that almost everyone oohs & ahhs over. But it doesn’t matter how wild Melody’s imagination gets with these little ones, someone, somewhere, will pick a baby from the crowd who is absolutely, incontrovertibly THE one.
Sometimes it’s not the one you think it will be. And sometimes they just have to make a stop or two to visit other friends here and there first! 🙂

Yea =) I’m really glad someone likes her, I was afraid no one would after I opened her [I admit it, I did think that] she’s very pretty, with gorgeous blending to her, but just not for me. BUt I’m super happy with how it’s turning out =D and now I’m very glad I did get her, rather than another
January 8, 2013 at 6:48 pm #891410I finally got mine today! My mouth dropped to the floor when I opened her box! She was one of those poor little poadies that got completely looked past in the class photo, but ended up becoming one of my favorites in the group! Her colors are so incredibly vibrant and beautiful! I couldn’t be any happier to have her! 🙂
(And here she is with her travel buddy –(my first) crazy colored Fancy Fuzzy!)
***Hannah, you are more than welcome to use these pictures for the GBP Directory!) 🙂
January 8, 2013 at 6:49 pm #891411Wow! Now that is one absolutely stunning Poad.
January 8, 2013 at 8:03 pm #891413Wow! That is one gorgeous and very colorful poad! A very lucky catch! You are right, she doesn’t look nearly as awesome in the class photo as she does in your photos. You can sort of see her in some of the other photos that were posted on Facebook, so you can see her better than the class photo there, but your pictures really show her much more fully. A very stunning little gal! 😀 Congrats!
January 8, 2013 at 11:12 pm #891421She is beautiful!
January 8, 2013 at 11:20 pm #891415Oh Puff! She looks like she just stepped out of the rainforest! She’s gorgeous.
Life is beautiful.
January 8, 2013 at 11:58 pm #891423I’ve been feeling too sick to do a full setup of pics for my ultimate new WS family member from this batch. Thankfully, she had a complete modeling session at her first stop (Thanks, L!), and I can show you a few from that. She’s another one that was really easy to miss in the class picture (and even the FB shots), being well hidden by her sibling poads! She’s the Monarch-type butterfly wing in the center of the circle at about 9 o’clock.
Meet Mariposa, Mignonne’s new sister:

Family shot, indoors, just as they sit on the desk:
…Mariposa in front, Mignonne (GBP 2/2012) just behind (keeping her new sister away from HER dragons), Dusk (Black Peocock Poad) to the right. (And of course, Allestra & her brother are right behind them, as always. LOL)
As with all from this bunch, pictures really only convey part of the shading, or how striking her coloration is. The purple & blue on her face are really vibrant, she has those darling lovebird cheeks, and there are so many blended shades of orange and gold on her wings. It all contrasts perfectly with the black on her body–everything stands out so much more than if there was another color there.
Though I still adore and miss the red autumn leaf poad I posted earlier, and as beautiful as so many of the others are, this one will hold a special place in my heart. I grew up where Monarchs are very common, and moved to where we hardly see them at all. So for me, she’s a joyous bit of childhood and a stunning work of art, complete with a silly face and light blue metallic eyes. I love that her colors blend so well with everyone else on the desk too!
January 9, 2013 at 12:28 am #891425Oh Puff! She looks like she just stepped out of the rainforest! She’s gorgeous.
Haha! I thought the SAME thing when I opened the box! I wonder if she was loosely based off of a specific bird or if Melody just let her imagine run wild when she painted her (-and the rest of the batch!) 😉
I can honestly say that this whole group of Poads simply amaze me. They all range from being beautiful, charming, elegant, stunning, and whimsical! Even the ones that I originally looked past in the group photo are leaving me shaking my head in embarrassment for ever doubting their unique charm.
I sincerely give my heart out to Melody and everyone at Windstone for everything they do! With all of their hard work, they sure know how to keep all of us delighted and amazed!
January 9, 2013 at 1:05 am #891433Joliesdragons, I think it’s wonderful how you were able to “catch” this beautiful little Monarch Poad! It’s always a rare pleasure being able to have a Windstone that brings you back to a time in your life that is full of heartwarming memories and joy. 🙂 (A Windstone like that doesn’t come around often! They certainly make up some of the best treasures in life!)

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.January 9, 2013 at 1:51 am #891441Puffpastry yours is stunning! A perfect example of how some of these poads look completely different above and at a distance in their class photo, compared to the side views. Thanks for posting pictures!

Thanks, Puff. I do think that’s the one plus to having to keep your collection small–if it doesn’t speak to me in some way, then why get it? (Which isn’t to say I don’t want them all anyway! *hee hee*) But this one really does make me smile.
I would swear that gorgeous “rainforest” one you got *is* based on a real bird. Variant of a yellow lorikeet maybe? Part sun conure? (except for the top of the head, this seems to be closest I can find at the moment). There’s a lot of these, including mine, where I’d love to know the background inspiration!
