A minor gripe about trying to post new topics with photos in the “Raffles” section. I did not have this problem when I created a new “What’s next on the Schedule” under “Ask Melody”.
Problem – the photos do not appear when I post information about the Windstone monthly Raffles:
November – the photos were goofy but one did appear. I was able to show the rest of the photos in a second post.
December – the photos did not appear when I posted the topic or when I refreshed the page. When I created a new post with the photos, the photos appeared in both posts (first and second). When I edited the second post to remove the photos they also disappeared from the first post.
January – the photos did not appear when I posted the topic or when I refreshed the page. When I created a new post with the photos, the photos appeared in both posts (first and second).
This is not a major problem but it is frustrating.
One odd thing – when I try to post these new topics the Forum hesitates for a “long” time and then I get a “Bad Gateway” message. However, the topics are there when I check to see whether they were posted.
I don’t recall whether this also happened when I posted under “Ask Melody” but it occurs regularly when posting under “Raffles”.I suspect this happened because the topics in question contain multiple large photos. I increased the upload maximum—hopefully that will take care of it. If not, please let me know.
What about Lee Dorn Jewelers? It’s obviously a business but perhaps the owner collects Windstones?

FYI, I check the new users for spam accounts (nearly) every morning. There are generally some tell-tale signs that an account is spam. Occasionally there is a new account with no red flags, and in that case I don’t know for sure until they post some spammy comment on the forum. So if you see suspicious new users first thing in the morning, it’s probably just that I haven’t yet reviewed the new users list for that day…but I will. So it’s not really necessary to post here about those cases (though you certainly can if you want to).
If, on the other hand, you see spammy comments in the forums, it’s probably from users that I couldn’t identify as spammers based on their registration, and in those cases it’s very helpful for me to be notified about them.

New member Michael Arthurton – real or AI? He has a post in “Reports of Fake & Knock-off Windstones and general infringements” that definitely reads like AI copy and paste.
“Fake Windstones are low-quality replicas lacking key details like the Windstone logo, and proper materials.
Infringements include unauthorized use of Windstone art or designs.
If you suspect a fake or infringement, contact John or the Windstone office for quick action.

I was trying to view topics started by this member and I could only view the first page. After that I got the message “Page not found”. I think this happened once before and had been fixed. Apparently the problem has reappeared.

Copying a message that Bodine posted under “General Windstone”. I can confirm that my messages have the same issue:

In my messages every message I receive,blocked out in a white box and can’t read them.My responses are in black box and I can read them.Help??The drop-down boxes under “Product Categories” at the bottom of a Forum page also are greyed out. They do show up one at a time if I mouse over the list.
Messages issue is now fixed. The product categories do not appear grayed out to me. What browser are you using?

In the Grab Bags topic – on page 1, partway down the page:
The second version of “Directory of All Known Grab Bag Windstone Photo Threads” (the one posted by GardenNinja) – the links did not work this morning. They took me to a new tab and a “Sorry that page can not be found” message.
Hmm. I don’t know why those links broke, but I fixed them. I also fixed the links in Kim’s list, so both lists should be working now. Let me know if you find any links that are still broken.

No “Wait List” available for the Old Black and Old White resting ponycorns? I don’t see one this morning (January 23).
The photo on the main page of the store does have a button to “Join Waitlist”. However, that button takes me to the item page for a resting ponycorn. That page just says “Out of Stock” with no way to join a wait list.
I’m checking with Susie to see if this was intentional or not.
This has been fixed now—you can join the waitlists for those items.
