Good luck, wolf!
wait…which one of us? lol
So I took my Emperor back to claim insurance money on him…and after standing in line (well, not too long) and creeping out the lady in front of me by standing there with a rainbow dragon wrapped in a towel (she finally asked me about it after sneaking glances for 10 minutes) and dealing with the lazy postal workers who would rather gossip and take a lunch break than deal with people…..the lady that does the claims wasn’t there. I LEFT my dragon in the hands of people who don’t know what he is (A Windstone!) and don’t care. I’m so scared they’ll break him further 😥
I called yesterday, no news. Called today, no news, except that they dont handle items of that high value there, but rather in St.Louis. It might be a MONTH before I even hear anything from St.Louis, and who knows when I’ll ever see my money back. I brought up the fact that the box was dropped, as one corner of it is smooshed and torn. She says “Well, all our packages are thrown and dropped” I said “…well…that’s why I bought the INSURANCE!” He made it from the factory in that box to the store (probably UPS) and look what happens to him when the postal workers get their hands on him.
I’m worried they’re going to deny my claim. The corner he sits in by my bed was so empty and not colorful. Please tell me some good insurance-claim stories that have a positive ending…
I know this was discussed in another topic but I couldn’t find it.
I hope it IS fake…”hey, this will be funny!” My boyfriend says the Iraqies can’t shoot you if you’re standing 20 feet away from them; they’re horrible shots and that’s why they use carbombs etc.
He’s barely out of basic training and he knows that, so maybe the video is making fun of the fact that they can’t shoot. Why would they get someone from the other side to help out anyway? Why not have some american guy shooting at the plate. Either way….
Well I asked the seller and he says it is an original, not a print. He says its signed too
WOWOWO! Thanks for the photos, wolflodge! I never knew the golds had purple on them either. I like it though!
The EmPea dragons Do look like a nice blend of peacock and emerald, but I think I’d like them with a darker purple. The blue and green just kinda blend together, and the purple in the photos is so soft, it blends in too. I like the paint sample in the gallery best where mamma dragon has the green along her spine and the top of her head.
Hey, I found that site too the other day! I like it. They only charge $8 for shipping, even if you order a whole family of Windstones 😯 But their prices on some things are a bit higher.
They’re also the store that has the Griffin puppet discussed in the stuffed animals thread
hmm..Magic Cats aside, they do look very alert and jumpy, like they’re about to pounce up and fly away at any moment. I think that’s all the round pupils too.
The poodle is a female too, right? (If not, well….wow…)
Yes, I’m glad he’s home too. I’ve heard of people in hospitals and nursing homes just getting sicker and sicker, so they give up and say “just go home” and the person gets better or recovers! So maybe now that he won’t be under so much stress, he’ll feel a lot better.
I heard on the news last year, they were warning about the anti-freeze. In Houston, we don’t have that problem of cars etc. freezing up, so we don’t keep any, but I’ve heard the animals like it because it tastes sweet to them o.O
Paypal used to be free! ….back in the day. And eBay was a flat rate of $2.00 Ahh those were the days 😉 That’s why I complain.
I heard somewhere there were calculators that figured out how much you’d need to charge if you want to make $XX.XX amount of money…I found one…
Paypal Fee Calculator
It’s funny if you enter a number into the second slot, to find out how much they take out of your lump sum, it says…Quote:After PayPal takes their fees from $128.00 you’ll receive:
$123.99
That means PayPal is taking $4.01 from you! Those bastards!LOL! And there’s an ebay fee calculator too!
Pretty nifty, huh? 😆
Greater Basilisk wrote:I so envy you people who can go to the mall and actually see the colors in person! Not that it really matters, I guess. I buy it all anyway.
But thanks for the description, SilverArrow.Me too! There aren’t any stores near me that carry them. The nearest store is a 45 minute drive away, and their prices are way high and they dont have any retired stock.
Wolflodge-Any chance you can post a picture of your new draggies? 😀 Also, what’s the name of your store and do you have a website?Well even if its not authentic, if its an original, and considering the size, it’s already well worth that price!
Edit-I just asked the seller about the signature and whether or not its a print. I know in the auction it says “original drawing” but sometimes people say that referring to the fact that it’s unique type original, not, “master copy” type original
Greater Basilisk wrote:Had any takers yet? If not, I thought about this deal a bit. If you don’t mind waiting until next month, I’ll take you up on a trade. Right now my CC is too deflated to get an EmPea male, but next month I’ll order two, one for me and one for you, and send them both to you to keep. Is this an option?
No, I haven’t had any takers yet. I was thinking of putting him up on ebay, but if you want him I can hold him for you. I reckon that sounds pretty good! 🙂
There was a basalisk in the first Harry Potter movie too, wasn’t there? (or at least the second movie)
