I wonder what time that is EST?
I need to have a complete collection of Windstone Gryphons! It’s just about the only thing I collect, Windstone-wise

Glad you got her. π

dragonessjade wrote:Aw, that is a cute/funny picture. I am glad your foot is getting better. May I ask why you had to have surgery in the first place?
Well, short version is I had a bone spur removed from the top of my foot and a long-term corn removed from my pinky toe (kind of). It wasn’t 100% you’re-going-to-die-if-you-don’t-get-this-done, but it was the best option based on everything else going on in my life. π

Thank you, all!
I’m up and about a little more now, kinda hobbling around the house like Quasimodo for up to ten minutes at a time before I need to prop the foot up.
Pain is well under control, and the swelling is definitely down. I get the stitches on my pinky toe out on Valentine’s Day. The stitches on the top of my foot will eventually absorb.
Good news is I still have over two weeks of convalescent leave left. Maybe I’ll tackle one of my PYO gryphons. π

I had foot surgery on Tuesday, and since I had time with my foot propped up (and a very helpful, handsome white tiger to fetch-and-carry for me) and my pencils within reach, I did a little sketch.
Whaddaya think? Click on the link for the pic in my JaxPad gallery. (I can’t figure out how to get the image to show)

*chuckles* Ahhh, so you were my sniper. π
I had bid, but you got me a few minutes later at one bid over mine. Good to hear he went to someone on the forum! Now I’ll have money to spend on the female gryphons! π

You are right. However, the convention doesn’t have rooms set aside for those acts, nor does it condone that kind of behavior in public. AC is very proud to be a family-friendly convention.
What happens in private rooms, or on people’s private websites (whether or not they attend AC) is their business.
*chuckles* The only “fur pile” I saw was when a large group of costumed fursuiters lay down side-by-side in the hotel lobby to create a living carpet. It was pretty impressive. :-)[/i]

Anthro in this case is short for Anthropomorphic animals. Furries, in other words. Anthrocon is one of the biggest furrycons.I’ll be there this year!
All right, please forgive me for this, but I just HAVE to ask! π― Is this like the “plushies and furries” convention episode of CSI? That is one of my faves! Is there really such stuff that goes on there like “scritching” and “fur piles”? I don’t want to insult or offend, I am just soooo curious!
They sound like a lot of fun, even without the above goings on! π
*sighs* They are a lot of fun, for art and dancing and comedy.
As for CSI – Kage (AC’s chairman, Dr. Conway) put it best by saying, “CSI isn’t so much a documentary as evening entertainment.”
Yes, the crew did attend a fur con to obtain some background shots, but the sick stuff… they had to make all that up.
I get razzed at work, too… almost to the point of not *quite* being told I can’t go, because of “possible subversive elements”. Puh-lease. It can be a bit of a sore point with me because of that. *sighs*

Goldragon2 wrote:KEWL! What’s Anthrocon? Is it Sci-Fi related? Hey, does your name have anyhting to do with Tyr from Andromeda? Man, he is fine!
We will be in VA beach in June staying will all of my out-laws *oops, I mean in-laws* π How far are you from the actual beach?
*points up* Furry-con, yes. π
As for my name, I came up with it in 1993 to create an online identity for role-playing…I’ve never seen Andromeda, but the name “Tyr” is also the Norse God of Justice. π
How far from VA Beach? Well, depending on traffic, anywhere from 30-65 minutes (or more if there’s an accident). If you’re there over the summer, check out the weekly concert series on Fort Monroe. I play in those. π

Man, and I wanted to win him…but by the time I got home from work the auction had already ended.
Guess I’ll just have to save the money, then. π
