we started rehearsals last night for our community christmas concert and oh my gosh! for such a small community we have some amazing talent! i’m only singing in the choir but man, even the conductors know what they’re doing! i haven’t been worked over vocally like that since we lived in california 17 years ago. my back and abs are sore from having to sing diaphramatically; could hardly roll out of bed this morning i was that stiff and sore. glad i’m not doing any solo work (i’m an adequate alto, nothing special, but i do have good tone) the astounding thing is that in a town that has barely 3,000 people we can put together a full orchestra and an adult choir that sings multiple divided parts; first & second soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass. and then there’s the children’s choir. it was like drowning in rich, golden sound. glorious!

another great operatic tenor was Enrico Caruso. is your cutie a tenor, baritone or bass? does he have an operatic voice or is he more modern in tone? is his voice melodic or staccato? sorry for the dumb questions 😳 but knowing what he sounds like could help with his name 😀 or you could name him for his looks; my boys suggest ‘Sherbet’ because he looks like rainbow sherbet to them 😀

Don’t even think twice about that new job offer; take it, grab it with both hands and run! I was stuck in a job for years that literally made me ill. Don’t worry about the old job. They survived before you were there and they’ll survive without you. You may miss some of your friends there, but the lower stress level is worth what you will miss.

I’ve always loved the feathers on the dragons wings and thought that the ‘plumage’ on the males heads and down their necks was feathery also (imho 😳 ) sort of like quetzalcoatl from the Central American mythos, but a gentler version.
