Sweeeeeet!!! I’m gonna guess that was photoshopped on the computer… but it looks realistic enough to be paint and new glass eyes too! Well done… I like it! 😀
Maybe he placed in a decorator class! 😆
Good luck with your sells! I’m sure you’ll do great. 😀 Dappling doesn’t look like a painting skill that is easy to master.
bluepony78 wrote:Yup, I painted that one the other night. I ordered in a bunch of those Constantine horses, and a lot of them arrived scratched, so I have to repaint them all to get my money back(you know how Peter Stone is…..). They were a bad gamble. I’m probably not carrying Stone horses anymore.
I hear you on selling them to fund the Windstones. I’m hoping this guy will cover my curls and coil order when he sells 😀
Oh Lord, yes I know! Those things are way too expensive. That’s another reason I gave up the model horse hobby. I can’t afford them anymore! I wanted to go to Equlilocity this year, but I’ll max out my credit card for sure… and my husband will strangle me! That sucks about the Constantine models though. I’m surprised a bunch came in scratched like that. Can’t they take them back if damaged goods?
Your paint jobs are nice though, and I think you’ll be able to sell them to cover you on the dragons you bought. You’ll probably get enough to buy another one too! The model in the pic looks good enough to be LSQ in my opinion. Collectors love those dappled ones! 😉
Man, #5 is kicking some serious butt! Maybe we ought to vote 50% for that one, and 50% for another one…. this way Melody has to offer both at the same time! I’m so evil sometimes… hee hee heee 😈

I’m so close to just saying screw it and getting an airbrush w/ my credit card, seeing your paintjobs isn’t helping my will power!! 😆
haha.
It’s taken me 3 years to do decent dapple greys. I paint about 15 a month, which has spured things along a lot.
I do 8 layers, starting on white. This uni didn’t get 8, I think she only got 5. My darker ones, like this, get about 8 layers. Takes me about 3 hours to do a horse like that.
Hubby is actually wanting me to upgrade my airbrush again. Right now I use an Eclipse($85ish) and an HP-C ($125-150). I have my eye on one of the newer ones that are about $300, but I gotta get my money back out of the horses I bought last week before I can do anything fun like that 😕
Hey, that’s a Peter Stone Windswept Arabian! I collect those. Actually…. I used to. I’m selling them all to fund my Windstones. Did you paint that model yourself? Very nice subtle natural looking dappling on that one. I like your unicorns too. I love the dappled gray one… great work! 😀
Welcome! I just recently joined too. You will like being here… everyone is so nice, and funny, and helpful. Except Dragon Master… I’m slightly afraid of him 🙁 No, seriously…everyone is great! 😀 Happy collecting!

Just one of those lovely summer colds. I’m next, probably.
Melody, you ought to try these things called Cold-EEZE. They are little lozenges that you can take to prevent a cold from starting, and can help reduce the duration of a cold. They have lots of zinc in the, and they work on me pretty good. I’ve heard that Airborn is a good remedy to help prevent you from catching a cold too. It’s like an alkaseltzer type deal with that one. Stay healthy! 😀

Yes, I’m pretty sure I’ll be owning one too pretty soon here. 😀 I just thought of something last night though. What do you think of an OW done in pearl white with gold or silver? I’m pretty sure Melody has never done one like that before. I think an OW done in either of those color combos would be really beautiful.
Actually the peal white color has a lot of gold in it! 🙂
Yeah, I know it has pale gold mixed in there, and gold detailing. But, I’m thinking a bright gold and white hybrid type dragon. Or a silver and white hybrid. I don’t know… maybe it’s not a good idea. Hey, this gives me a good reason to buy a PYO dragon and try it myself!
Those are cool pictures that your friend did. Those dragons look tasty! 😀
😕

Then you’ve probably seen that “special” gold one on Ebay then. Good luck if you’re going after him. He looks real nice! I’d like to see what he looks like outside with that special automotive clear coat over the gold.
skigod377 wrote:I def recommend getting an old warrior. He is well worth the price… I think he is the coolest pose of all the dragons.
I am really having a hard time deciding if I want a white one or a brown one 😕
I think I’m definitely getting the white one now. I’m selling off all of my model horse collection just so I can afford Windstones!
Both the brown and the white are nice though. But the one in white… he just looks so much more majestic to me. He is the elusive white old warrior dragon that dragon slayers have heard tales about, but none have never been so lucky to even catch a glimpse of him! That’s how I like to think of him! I know… I’m a dork! 😆
skigod377 wrote:I am wondering what it is about 5 that everyone loves so much? I know he looks good… like the peacock color… but to have so many wanting that particular one seems unusual to me, esp with all the cool color variations.
I think everyone likes him so much, because he is the only black one out of the group. The black with the white white blaze, and purple metallic barring is really awesome looking and stands out from the rest!:D I do really like the white ones also though for the same reason.
sisterbiscuit wrote:Let me bump up the count to 6 – I want a metallic blue Poad too! I knew I was in trouble when there were only 12 released…but…so cute. I need one! 🙂
Melody says that she thinks she painted 40 total. They sold 25 to begin with. She said that she’ll be checking around the factory tomorrow to see if she can find the others. She also said that if she is mistaken about the number she painted, then she would probably do a few more before moving on to another color. I how I hope the others do exist, and she is able to find them!
