Thanks, Koishii. 😀 I just went through 7 of 35 pages of dark_zorse’s “Discovered” postings from early 2008. Finally got to where the pictures of the Jade Emperor were actually posted instead of just talked about, only to find the images removed. 😡
I have several pieces in Emerald and love the color, but I wish Windstone would do some more in Jade ……deliberately, not by accident…..and enough so that we wouldn’t get trampled in the rush. I do like that Jade Emperor!
Yes, I did mean a Hatching Emperor in Jade. Were there any? 😕
But I am even more interested in your answer, Koishii, if you meant a regular Emperor in Jade. It never occurred to me. That would be a sight to see! 😀

We did empresses in Jade?!?
But did they ever do matching Emperors in Jade? 😕
They sent out emails to their customers, which is how I learned of it. I got my email yesterday but didn’t open it until this afternoon. I called them to order and mentioned the 30% discount. Their email follows:
“Grandio.com began as an online retailer in 1995, and we became one of the few internet sites to deal directly to the customers with a variety of products. We have handled products including Shelia Collectables, Soy Candles, Windstone, Pipka, Vangroup / Vanmark, Blue Sky and many others over the years. Unfortunately the last few years of competition with heavily discounted internet retailers and the difficulty in obtaining products from retailers has forced us to re-evaluate our business model. We have decided to no longer deal in collectables and figurines. From now until all of our stock is gone, you will receive 30% off on your in-stock collectable orders. We will no longer be ordering stock for our warehouse, so the items ordered will need to be in-stock to receive the discount. Please make a note of “30% off” in the comment box on the order form. Since we are extending a large discount to our customers, we will no longer be offering free shipping. Dealer inquiries are welcomed. Thank you for your continued support over the years.”
It is Grandio.com and is located in Michigan.
All their remaining Windstones that are in stock are 30% off, but they are charging shipping on the discounted items. If you are in Michigan, you also have to pay sales tax. I just got their last Red Fire Rising Spectral, and even paying shipping and tax, I still got a good deal.
I can give a bit of a list for items I asked about specifically.
There are no Fledglings of any color, no whites, no unicorns, no rock dragons, and no Royals. I did not ask about the non-painted/stone-colored items.
As of this moment, these are some I know they do have:
Red Fire Mother
Red Fire Lap
Red Fire Spectral
Emerald Peacock Rising Spectral
Emerald Peacock Lap
Black Gold Spectral

I so agree with that..
Me too! Then again, I’m certainly saving money. 🙂
That little uni is a real cutie. 🙂 I got baby uni #1, and he is absolutely beautiful. I’ll have to ask him if he wants a sibling or wants to keep all the attention for himself. 😀
There are four right now. GOOD LUCK! 😀
I love the brown one and would buy it in a heartbeat. 😀 I quite like the blue one (even though I am not a “blue” person) but not paired with that egg color; I would like it better in the regular production-colored egg or maybe with a lot less speckles. I would still buy the blue one though. I just can’t pass up the Hatching Emperors (more, more, more, please) and Empresses. 😉
Good luck!
There are three right now. 😀
But I was trying to win her for myself…. *droops*
Yes, I saw that. That is why I didn’t offer to do it.
Good luck. 🙂
You can check a seller’s User IDs by going to their feedback page, clicking on View More Options over on the far right side, and then clicking on View ID History.
Since eBay/PayPal had to pay out over $500 plus shipping to Fran Carpenter’s victims, I assume they will be very careful not to let her back under any name. It is people like this seller that caused them to put the current restrictions and payment holds on sellers with minimal feedback. It may be a pain reporting a bad sale to eBay, but at least they will reimburse you.I try to avoid any sellers that put my radar up, but I am not afraid to buy on eBay; I have gotten some of my favorite pieces on eBay, including a Stripey Griffin and the very elusive Rainbow Hatching Emperor.
As to just buying from forum members, the only broken piece I ever received came from a forum member. She wrapped a Hatching Royal in a bit of loose bubble wrap, tossed it in the box with the other Hatching Royal wrapped in a bit of loose bubble wrap, and surprise, surprise……damage occurred. She is on the White List, by the way. 😮
Check the feedback more closely. After going through the first 50, this seller has good feedback on items that sound like Windstones, some feedback mentions Windstone by name, and I see feedback from at least one forum member whose name I recognize immediately. The seller is ill advised to use this type of picture, but I think it is a legitimate listing.
And the seller you are thinking of, LadyFirebird, is Fran Carpenter. 🙁 Buyer Beware! 👿 I saved this link when I briefly considered buying from her and was nervous about it.
PMd you.
