I get that now and then and it’s annoying. I’d say you just have a pinched nerve of sorts. As long as you don’t have pain, I’d say just wait it out but I do feel for you cause you can’t help but use your eyes! It happens to me (I think) when my eyes have been extra strained… extra work hours and free hours on computer, too much reading anywhere, extra amounts of TV. Any especially repetitious eye motion… like ocular carpal tunnel syndrome.
My whine for today… I can never, ever afford Windstone ebay pieces!!!!!!!!! Even the small ones. Always outbid no matter what. Always pre-sniped even if I could begin to afford it by going without groceries for a couple weeks. And I’m buying for another, not even for myself! I think my karma is dyslexic. I want some of those intricate ones in the darn store soooooooo badly! Wahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa! Pfft. :shout: 😥

Melody, Mel, Melly, Mel Mel… I know this has been addressed in another thread but I had to draw your attention again so you see the demand.
I fully understand and appreciate how hard it is to mass produce (for store) pieces that have intricate patterns, such as the absolutely stunning Tiger Curlie you have up on ebay. But I just have to beg anyway, for a way you can find a compromise.
We’ve watched ebay for years and we know that we cannot afford special ebay pieces, even small flaps or curls. The store is basically all we can afford. Maybe ebay if ebay allowed payments but they don’t, nor would Windstone.
That said (not making much of a case here!), I am SO begging you to try to come out with a stencil (to help you perhaps) so that you can put complicated tiger curls (or zebra curls or the like) in the store so that non-ebayers can afford to get them. Browsing ebay as I do, I saw the recent Tiger Curl and about fainted (same with the Siam Curl). It takes a lot for me to flip but that one just about did it for me. Truth be told, you are a genius (no really, you’re an artistic genius and I’m not sucking up; sometimes the truth is actually nice to hear!), so there must be a way for you to come up with painting those complicated designs for the curls, coileds, flaps and orientals that most squeak squeek* about.
Please, I implore you to sleep on it for as long as you need to come up with a way to get this tiger pattern into the store rotation. I’m sure we’re fully aware they’d be more than the usual $50 curl price. I believe everyone here understands that kind of design would be more money… but anything is better than ebay in my vast experience in research.
Finally, I’LL NEVER LET THE SQUEAK FOR BUCKSKIN HOOFERS, DIE! NEVER FORGET THE BUCKSKINS FOR THE STORE!!! 😀

I have a theory that if they remove alcohol from reality shows, then the shows would be ‘boring’, or the withdrawals would cause the drama. Alcohol is the biggest character on each of those shows (which most of them allow, save for Survivor except during rewards but it doesn’t seem to affect the players there like it does on other reality shows). Remove the booze, and the shows would go down in flames. Any logical person knows that when a camera is mounted or following you around, you either consciously or subconsciously alter your behaviour. It’s highly doubtful these people are exactly like they are on TV, though I’m not saying the idiots are not losers in person. Those really nasty ones. Sorry but just don’t have it in me. I’ve seen those scenes and were it me, my blood pressure would blow a gasket, whether I was acting or not. Reality shows have long taken over, and are getting worse, bumping actual good television. If those ratings are truthful, then what kind of world has this become, that we get off on watching that kind of stuff?

We all have guilty pleasures honey, so don’t feel badly! As for this particular reality show, no, never watched it. I have seen the cast on various talk shows in appearance, etc. IMO, they perpetuate a stereotype and exaggerate it at that. I’m a native NYer and am use to having people pass judgment on me before even knowing me. Tried an experiment (several times), going out and talking the way I normally do, but then also going else where (same kind of environment) and really turning on the NY accent that comes out in me when I’m tired or angry (like rest of my family). I am terribly judged when I sound regional. Mind you, my actions were the same in both scenarios and I held myself well, but some people just can’t get over accents as if thats the marker by which to be judged.
Shows like Jersey Shore perpetuate that stereotype that people from Jersey are like this cast. Other than the usual trivial yet friendly rivalry NYers have with Jersey folk, I personally do not know anyone that acts like they do on that show (not that there aren’t any). Course again, I don’t judge people on their accent. But I’m not exempt from judging actions. Takes a great deal to push my buttons otherwise I’m a live and let live type… just don’t hurt anyone and especially never lay a cruel finger on an animal cause then, no matter who you are (family included), I’ll kick yer butt. Sorry, got a little NY on ya!
I have my reality addictions (Survivor, BB… not the VH1 types but the regular network ones, but only a couple or so). You’re not alone ddvm. Sometimes I *be-otch* (I’m not allowed to use the other word & it’s edited to read female dog- :eye roll: ) and moan at the screen and I’ve been asked why, if I hate it so much, do I continue to watch. I think it’s some kind of release. But I like the shows that are competitions (not the Real Worlds), where I’d be like, hells no I can’t do that! And give props to competitors who are out there living off the land and playing a mental game. So Jersey Shore would not be for me, and from the snippets I’ve seen of it, it would drive me bonkers, and would be one I’d yell at the TV, for several reasons.

My cousin has been on ebay for years (we all use her account which has always been in perfect standing). But because none of us have used ebay in over a year, her feedback score went down to zero. Granted she still has her “number” of transactions but there is no percentage there to display +feedback. Someone would have to look into her profile in order to see all the positive feedback. But she fears if she does use ebay again, that she will be blocked from bidding because she appears to have no feedback which simply isn’t true. Hate that ebay keeps changing rules over and over and over.
Wow, that is a lot for that piece but hopefully the person knows what they’re doing and will be happy.

Phoenix is a bird… never seen them with hooves (but I never put anything passed Melody or fantasy)! But am thrilled to tell my cousin a hoofer is in the making for the raffle and perhaps she’ll enter (I don’t enter raffles; I feel weird since we’re in the same house and it would feel like double entry to me).

In no way am I answering for Melody, but my guess is she will make more of them, as well as more of numerous other things that either many or just a few have squeaked for. I think the biggest obstacle in Mel’s way is any casting issue. I know she’s said several times that once that huge issue is out of the way or fixed, that large batches of so many things (and new things) will be coming to the store. So I *would* hold out hope that she’ll do them again. My 2 cents.
Hope I didn’t step on The Creator’s toes but I really just wanted to give some hope to Kalandra since I know what it’s like to want something back in stock so badly (*cough* Lg Tuxedo Flaps with Sunset Wings NO Moustache *cough*) 😈

They we just restocked yesterday but they are gone now. Did you know they were restocked and missed this latest bunch? If not, maybe you should email Susie and request to be put on their waiting list. Good luck! I know how frustrating it is when you miss pieces, especially numerous batches!

Hey Melody,
It’s been suggested to me I ask you to clarify this for us. Personally, I was under the impression you created the Slates first but then something happened and you created the Silvers to take over the Slates. Maybe it’s in my (mis)understanding of the description, I don’t know exactly how I came to the conclusion.For the person I shop for (or look for piece for… my cuz), she prefers the Slates. But she has seen the Silver up against a Slate in person. Minor differences but she still prefers the Slates. When the Mother came out, we were all under the assumption you’d stopped the Slates and were continuing them as Silvers, for whatever reason. Which is why we bought the Silver Mother… and then in a day or 2 after that, the Slate version came on the scene. Her Silver’s horn was damaged and came back to you and is recovering in the Windstone vet’s office as we’re told. If the transplant takes, she’ll be shipped back to us. But had we known, we’d have held out for the Slate.
Will there be both Slate Unicorns AND Silver Unicorns, or has one colour indeed, replaced the other? Want to be sure you are going to do the Young and Grand Unicorns in both Slate and Silver. Will you, eventually? Right now, if/when the Mother returns home, we will have 2 silver unicorns, and one slate. Assuming you’ll be doing the Young and Grand, we’d really love them to buy them in Slate as to balance out the unicorn family.

Lokie, all those things you mentioned, change from my left to right also (boobs included). Something no one would notice unless I pointed it out. And even if they did notice, if they had a problem with it, well, it’s their problem is my thinking. Our body symmetry goes as far as (for most people), 2 of many things, one on each side of our center line. Personally, I’m very accepting so while others have brushed away friends I have because they have 9 or 11 fingers or toes (that have not been able to be changed), those folks have missed out on some beautiful hearted people. My gain, their loss. My judgment of myself is much harder than I could ever judge someone else.
Long posts, yea, my fault. Sorry. I do a lot of typing for a living and don’t realize how long things get because I type so fast. I’m not here much but I’ll try to curtail it.
I don’t like typing in white. For me, like you with the long posts of pink, it all starts to run together and hurts my eyes when I’m reading. I like those that break it up with colour. Are any of these colours any better? I have to find one most can read and one I like as well. Btw, if you can’t read it, again, you’re the only person to have come forward which, in my experience, means you’re not alone but had the understanding to know I’d not take it offensively and said so with innocent intentions. I’d just like to find a colour that sits well with everyone because one day I might have something important to say!
