I would rather have the blue. It looks like it is charging up for something. 😀
Mischief & Mirth! 😈
I’d like to see a better picture of #3 and #18. They aren’t in any other pictures and it’s hard to see what they really look like from the pizza photo.
… like a few more green fledgies? *big wolf puppy eyes*

My brothers went to Alfred State and Alfred U (one went to one, one went to the other)! I went to Fredonia for a summer music program (spent some time at and performed at Chautauqua). The third brother went to college in Saranac Lake (Paul Smith’s). I went to college along 88 and lived in Binghamton for a short 5 months. Been living up in the Saratoga area for pretty much the entirety of my life.

August 20, 2007 at 11:28 pm in reply to: Repair in Progress, Faceless Male Dragon Completed 8/20 #606570Kyrin, you are a miracle worker! He has a face again! He can finally eat… I’ll bet he was getting hungry 😆
I know my next door neighbor’s son now lives in Corpus Christi, TX, so he is definitely keeping his fingers crossed that Hurricane Dean doesn’t move further north. He’s prepping getting the essentials ready, should he have to beat it away from the coast. Hurricanes need to give the Gulf states a break.
Keschete, you’re near NOLA? 8) PM’d you.
Kinda glad, NYS doesn’t have to worry too much about hurricanes, except the 5 bouroughs… maybe a little bit north of that on the Hudson River would see some flooding and bad storms when a hurricane comes inland. Blizzards and ice storms seem to be our biggest thing, with stream and creek flooding here and there. Still, everyone be safe this hurricane season, those of you near the coast!
Welcome back! 8)

It’s just really expensive automotive paint! The kind with metallic flecks in it… The stuff I used is different than the multicolor sparkle Windstone has on some pieces. Mine is just green fleck sparkle.
Can you buy it on the internet or do you have to go to a car lot/place/shop? I’m intrigued!
I know you can get it from some autobody shops. They may have to order it special or mix it for you, not to mention the cost, but they should have access to it. Candy Apple Red paint is cheaper (I think) and is $50+ for a little pint of it! Reds are generally more expensive automotive paints anyways.

No you’re not 8)
Hopefully, they can find them, alive (they have found ok levels of breathable air). If so, they can drill a hole (about 30 inches) that they can use to pull them up from. They probably won’t go in via tunnels though, because the tunnels in that section have become too unstable. Compared to mining in the east (Appalachians), the Rockies are very young mountains. They are much higher, so the amount of rock above a tunnel can be as much as 2000ft thick (in the east, average is 800 something). The Appalachian mounts are MUCH older, so they have worn down and settled more. The Rockies are a bit more ‘alive’ in that they are still growing and settle and shudder a lot more. Mining makes swiss cheese of these mountains, so the mountain will settle itself. That’s what happened to the rescuers. Bursts of air and rubble like what happened to the rescuers have been known to sever through mining equipement 😯 They can happen in a split second too, so you won’t know what hit you. If you hear the sound after such an event, you know you are alive (the sound is after the fact). They are very lucky only 3 were killed. Mining is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, but the pay is a lot. That’s one of the biggest draws to the job. There is no 100% safe way to do it, but the miners do take the precautions they can. Sadly, there are some of those who own and control mines I have to say don’t seem to worry too much about cutting corners. Those people make me mad 👿
Hopefully the noise that was heard was indeed the miners and they can be brought out via a hole *fingers crossed*
I love the color, but I do agree on the scales around teh mouth. I don’t know if this would really work on a smaller dragon though. Maybe on an emp…. possibly on an OW, but I don’t know if this would go over well as a production for the smaller dragons. It does look lovely on the SK though.
Cinnamon and Sugar?
If I read correctly, there is still a glimer of hope, if a restructuring plan is presented by the end of August. Slim, but still hope.
Greater Basilisk wrote:I really wanted more Carnival Glass. I bet the prices for the pieces on E-Bay will go up now, though.
For now, they may not. Pieces that they no longer make are just that. There is also soooooo much fenton and different pieces and people with so many different preferences, I don’t think I’d expect to see a huge jump in prices. They are also still producing through the end of the year. I know my mom and I went through pieces on line today (I called her from work and we went through stuff over the phone). If nothing else, I’m going to at least print out some of their catalogs from online (or save pictures of them) so I can go back for reference for things that I was hoping to get down the road. In time, as things become more and more retired, prices may go up, but it will probably vary like anything else to who is selling what and what people are looking for on any given day. Certain things, like depression glass, are just really sought after because that type of glass is no longer made (it contains a little bit of uranium in it, so it reacts to UV light… was cheap to get back in the depression, not so much now – and a lot of it probably hasn’t survived).
So do I! 😀 😀 😀 I’d just have to figure out how to get there from Palm Springs (and all that city driving 😯 *shudders at scary thought*)
