This one weighs maybe three pounds. I had intended to make it just a tad bigger, but ran out of yarn. It’s at least big enough to keep your legs and lower torso warm, or perhaps to drape over yourself when you lay down.
I like my feet out from under the covers anyway. Temperature regulation and all. 😉
I hear the blue/yellow/green yarn is blacklight responsive.
It’s about four feet square and made of acrylic yarn, so it’s washable. The colors in the bright yarn are kind of washed out, I couldn’t get them to show up like I wanted them to, but the blues are very dark blues shading from green to yellow.
Might take offers on it if someone’s interested.
I think it’s best we just wait now and see what the vet has to say. 🙂 Vomiting in a cat can be just about anything. Internet diagnosing doesn’t really help anyone, kitty should always see a vet before assumptions.
She says he seems to be keeping liquids down now, so he should be OK until tomorrow morning. Animals, especially puppies and kittens (since this fellow is young) are healing machines!
Space your force feeding out to every two hours to give his tummy time to settle. If he’s keeping it down, it’s already looking up.
You can also get a can of something like Science Diet Sensitive Stomach that has no chunks in it, mix about ten ccs with some water and give that to him every couple of hours and see how it goes.
I hope the vet can set you up tomorrow. Keep us posted!

I am not just shooting out my butt here, UTI blockages are life threatening and if you wait until the cat is toxic, your chances hit rock bottom quick.
Way I see it, alarmist is definately in Tristin’s best interest…if I am wrong and I pray I am, then it won’t hurt anything, but if I am right, then the sooner he gets care the better his chances, and I really feel that waiting will be detrimental.

I’m a certified vet tech with four years experience, I know the risks, thank you, but there’s no need to make TC feel horrible about an already bad situation.
She has an appointment with the vet tomorrow. It is the best that she can do right now. It could also be giardia, coccidia, kidney failure, IBS, poisoning, feline leukemia since he’s not vaccinated, FIP or any number of things. She would know if he was having trouble urinating/blocked because he would be in the box crying and trying to pee. Right now he’s probably not peeing at all because he’s dehydrated.
Once again, good luck TC. I wish your kitty the best.

I called my bf and told him that either I take the cat to the vet now or he will have a dead cat… he told me we will talk about it when he gets home and I told him that it might already be too late for Tristin… I called all my friends and family to see if I can borrow money or anything.. nothing.. I called my dad to see if he knows the lawyers phone number so I can call him and see if I can get an advance on my inheritance from my grandma but my dad isn’t home at the moment… 30 minutes after calling my bf he called back and asked if I could use his card if I took the cat to the vet today, obviously no… so I called the vet to see if there was a way to work around that because the cat has to go to the vet and my bf doesn’t get off till 6 which is when the vet closes… So the vet won’t take him today because they don’t have an over night and we can’t pay today because my bf doesn’t get off till 6….
*sigh* I am going crazyps. I made an appointment for tomorrow at 9
At least he’s going soon. Good luck, and best wishes to kitty for a speedy recovery.
I will agree that the cat is sick, but I wouldn’t go quite so far without seeing the cat, Kyrin.
There could be any number of things wrong, and even if he happens to be blocked, I’ve seen cats who were blocked for a couple of days pull through with fluids, meds and TLC.
Let’s not be alarmist, but yes, kitty needs to see a vet today, at the very least.
I hated owners like that while I was working in a clinic. They’re right up there with the ones who try to manipulate you because they have no money. I’m pleased that *you* are trying at least.
That cat desperately needs to see a vet. They won’t give it vaccines right now because it’s sick (or without owner consent, though to be honest, vaccines are important!), and they won’t neuter him without owner consent.
Crack your boyfriend over the head tell him he’s an idiot and the cat is going to the vet. There’s no sense in letting it be sick like that because your bf is a low watt bulb at the moment.
Though I can’t say that I blame the vet for not taking payments. They lose thousands that way, when they extend credit and people take advantage of that and never pay their balance. I hope the Pet Card thing works out for you.
Looks like a Ford 500 (or Taurus, I think they’re going to rename it). Nice little cars.

I’m in Carbondale! 🙂 You? (It’d be so awesome to find another collector nearby…)
Good lord, I live in Marion and attend SIU. What store are you hitting up, anyway? I’ve never been able to find a suitable one in Marion.

raved about them for a minute, then ran to the car and brought out my Old Warrior and Young Dragon as examples!
I think she fell in love with my Old Warrior. 🙂 She couldn’t say enough flattering things about him, and was dismayed to hear the Emerald color wasn’t available anymore. 🙂 But I did give her Windstone’s web address, email, and phone number (I wrote it out neatly ahead of time and brought it along with my “examples”), and she looked at the website while I was still there.
So, hopefully I’ll have a local Windstone dealer soon! If ANYONE else here on the forum lives in Southern Illinois, and would like to help me by dropping in and seconding the “please carry Windstones” message, let me know and I’ll tell you all the details!
Where in Southern Illinois?
OK. 🙂
I love dressage, and that horse was fantastic! Shame that a horse dances so much better than me. ;P
All righty, sent you a PM with my email address in it.
Where is the band located? Fairly smalltime? What are they going to use the logo for? What’s their budget?
I’m always looking for work!
