Don’t people know how to snipe?! *pouts* I’m never going to get one.
Tell me about it. People drive me crazy when they drive the price so high its out of my reach within hours. It’s a good thing for Windstone, of course, but not for the rest of us.
Whats the difference whether its out of your reach in hours or out of your reach within days? Either way… its out of your reach. Who cares when it happens? That bid is mine, and yes, I know how to snipe. Do I feel like doing it? No. And Rusti, Im sorry if it drives you crazy. Not my intention. Why so defensive lately? I wasn’t calling anybody out, just expressing an opinion, and I’m pretty sure that’s what Emerald was doing too… I would never have known the bid was yours if you hadn’t opened your mouth. You could’ve just rubbed your hands together and snickered to yourself in private instead of getting irritated and crabby (which is what you’re coming across as, whether you intended it or not).
There’s nothing wrong with us fussing just a little that we were out of the game so quickly, just like there’ll be nothing wrong with the winner getting excited about it.

Erm…how exactly does *that* work? I don’t see how checking your reports can hurt your score…

But I seem to have grown out of them, I haven’t seen one I wanted in years.
There’s a Fresian I want (on clearance at rural king, I ought to just go get him) and I’d love to have that halloween horse Nosferatu, but those are the only two I’ve wanted in ages.

But for non production colors…violet flame
My Powerbook hates you now. It’s wiping soda off it’s face…

it’s not that humid in Ohio is it?
I thought it could be something to do with the lights they use in the display cases…
but that’s just me thinking…and that doesn’t always work the best…
If August in Dayton is anything to go on, Yes, it’s humid in Ohio. 😛

I don’t quite recall being an instant celebrity…

Me too. I could probably scrape together $700, but not much more. Which is why I don’t have a SK yet. 😛
and bump again

Eeek! It’s a Harvick fan! *swats with broom* I did bid on it, since it stayed so low for so long, but, like Emerald, once it was over $400, I let it go.
Just giving out my ebay info to a site like that gives me the willies. 😛
I’ll do it the old fashioned way. Most of my work is done on a computer anyway, so I’m never far away at the end of an auction. 🙂
It’s been that way for a while, as far as I remember. I guess when that stuff started getting popular.
I am so sorry, Vantid. Losing any grandparent is tough. My Pawpaw (maternal grandfather) fought in WWII and I never got to hear him tell stories. We lost him when I was 13, long before I was really old enough to appreciate the things your grandparents can tell you. They played Taps at his funeral and I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard in my life.
Both my father’s parents are gone, and my mother’s mom is the only grandparent I have left, and she’s tired and ready to go too.
Don’t think of sitting and talking about your grandmother as thinking of how awesome she was ‘too late’. You’re reliving memories so you can keep her close to your heart while you wait to meet her again. When my grandma died, we all sat in the front yard like we did when we were little and talked about the things she did for us, and the humorous things she did to others (we found a notebook next to her chair where she kept notes on who came and went at a house across the street she suspected was ‘up to something’).
At first it’s hard, and funerals are exceedingly morbid. I think I want a party when I die, where people can sit and talk and laugh about all the silly things I did as a crotchety old woman, eat good food, be with family and friends and not cry or stare at a body I’m no longer using, and will never use again.
My condolences hon. Try to remember all the silly/fun/cool things she did, and that goodbye is only temporary.
Make cool things with her old art supplies too! 🙂
*hugs*

(i am happy with the one white dragon i have, and i do not have the money to buy an ow or sk. fear not.)
If ebay catches you using a sniping program, they won’t react kindly, just so you know.
What do you mean? By snipping, I mean you wait til the last second and bid like crazy….not sure if there’s another type.
Emerald clarified.
Ebay says ‘play fair or get out’ basically. You can’t use sniping software or they’ll kick you off.
